Réal Lapierre
Réal Lapierre (born August 5, 1944) is a Canadians, Canadian politician and former École Pointe-Lévy geography teacher. Born in Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse, Quebec, Lapierre started out in politics as city councillor in Beaumont, Quebec in 1971. In 1974 he became mayor where he remained until 1985. After a nine-year hiatus, he was elected mayor again, which he remained until 2004. From 2001 to 2004 he was also a prefect in the Bellechasse Regional County Municipality, Bellechasse MRC. In the 2004 Canadian federal election, he was elected into the House of Commons of Canada as a Bloc Québécois member in the riding of Lévis—Bellechasse. He was defeated in the 2006 Canadian federal election, 2006 election. External links

Bellechasse—Etchemins—Montmagny—L'Islet (formerly known as Bellechasse—Montmagny—L'Islet) was a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1997 to 2004. Steven Blaney
Steven Blaney (born April 8, 1965) is a Canadian businessman and Conservative politician. He served as the Minister of Public Safety Canada (July 15, 2013 – November 4, 2015) and previously as the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Minister of State for La Francophonie in the cabinet of Prime Minister Stephen Harper (May 18, 2011 – July 14, 2013). He has represented the Québec riding of Lévis—Bellechasse in the Canadian House of Commons since the 2006 federal election. Despite his anglophone-sounding name, Blaney is a Francophone. He was reelected in the 2015 election. In 2017, he unsuccessfully ran for Conservative party leader. Early life Blaney was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, and was raised in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce.
