Ryanggang Hotel
The Ryanggang Hotel(량강호텔) was a first class hotel located in the Mangyongdae District of Pyongyang, North Korea. It has 330 rooms. The hotel was built in 1989 on a hill overlooking the Taedong and Pothong rivers, next to Seosan Football Stadium. The hotel covers an area of roughly 33,000 square metres and has two main buildings. There is a revolving restaurant on the top floor, and it has a library, billiard room, soft drink counter and shop. Taedong River
The Taedong River (Chosŏn'gŭl: ) is a large river in North Korea. Mangyongdae District
Man'gyŏngdae-guyŏk or Man'gyŏngdae District () is one of the 18 guyŏk (wards) that constitute P'yŏngyang, North Korea. It began as a village, Man'gyŏngdae-ri, South P'yŏngan Province and became a district of P'yŏngyang in September 1959. The area is surrounded by several hills, the highest one named Man'gyŏng Hill () because one can enjoy a bird's-eye view of the surrounding scenic landscape, and the village at its foot is called Man'gyŏngdae. Man'gyŏngdae was the birthplace of North Korean leader Kim Il-sung. Man'gyŏngdae-guyŏk extends to the west past the Sunhwa River, to Kangso-gun. Pyongyang (, , ) is the capital and largest city of North Korea, where it is known as the "Capital of the Revolution". Seosan Football Stadium
Sŏsan Stadium () is a football stadium in Pyongyang, North Korea. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 25,000 people, and was built by the North Korean army in 1988 for the 13th World Festival of Youth and Students. It lies next to Ryanggang Hotel which was completed around the same time in 1989. The stadium was modernised in 2011, receiving a new artificial turf pitch to FIFA standards, an electronic scoreboard, new seats for spectators, and an improved medical facility. ''Korean News'' () was a South Korean government news program that was displayed in movie theaters between 1953 and 1994. Its 2040th program, which aired on December 31, 1994, was its last one. The program went by a number of names over its history. A predecessor to this program, ''Korean Newsreel'' (), ran between 1945 and 1948.
