Russell Sutor
Russell Allan "Russ" Sutor (April 24, 1951 – September 23, 1995) was a businessman and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Regina North East from 1982 to 1985 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Progressive Conservative. He was born in Mossbank, Saskatchewan, the son of Steve Sutor and Anetta Atkinson. Sutor operated a travel agency, a delivery service and a Regina motel. He served as legislative secretary to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade. Sutor resigned his seat in the Saskatchewan assembly in 1985 citing personal business reasons. Regina Northeast
Regina Northeast is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. This district includes the neighbourhoods of Parkridge, Uplands, Glencairn and Glencairn Village. The district was created in 1967 out of parts of Regina North and Regina East. Between 1991 and 1995, this riding was called "Regina Churchill Downs". Kevin Doherty of the Saskatchewan Party won the riding in the general elections of 2011 and 2016, but announced his retirement from politics in the spring of 2018 and resigned the seat. A by-election was held on September 12, 2018, and was won by Yens Pedersen of the New Democratic Party. Gary Grewal was the candidate for the Saskatchewan Party. The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King in Right of Saskatchewan. The assembly meets at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina. There are 61 constituencies in the province, which elect members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to the Legislative Assembly. All are single-member districts, though the cities of Regina, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw were in the past represented through multi-member districts, with members elected through Block Voting. The Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan is a conservative political party in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Prior to 1942, it was known as the Conservative Party of Saskatchewan. The Conservative Party of Saskatchewan's first leader, Frederick W. A. G. Mossbank, Saskatchewan
Mossbank is a town in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. The town is south of Old Wives Lake and 68 km south of Moose Jaw. History Mossbank was incorporated in 1912 as an extension of the railroad from Expanse. The townsite was chosen by the Canadian National Railway (CNR) rail line with an adjacent townsite of Raycraft being established to the north by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) rail line.
