Rudshøgda
Rudshøgda is a village in Ringsaker Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located about from the towns of Moelv (to the northwest) and Brumunddal (to the southeast). The European route E6 highway runs through the village. The Dovrebanen railway line runs through the village as well. From 1914 to 1994, the trains stopped at the Rudshøgda Station. During the 1980s there were plans to build an airport at Rudshøgda, but this did not happen. Rudshøgda was the childhood home of author, poet, playwright, songwriter and musician, Alf Prøysen. Prøysenhuset is a cultural center and museum honoring his memory. The main part of the museum is a permanent exhibition that tells the story of the career of the author of the ''Mrs. Pepperpot'' series of children books. Alf Prøysen
Alf Prøysen () (23 July 1914 – 23 November 1970) was a Norwegian author, poet, playwright, songwriter and musician. Prøysen was one of the most important Norwegian cultural personalities in the second half of the 20th century. He worked in several different media including books, newspapers and records. He also made significant contributions to music as well as to television and radio. He also wrote in the ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1954 until his death. He was also noted for his series of books featuring ''Mrs. Pepperpot'' (Norwegian: ''Teskjekjerringa''). The fictional character of a series of children's books established him as a children's author. The series of books were first published during 1956 and was first published in English in 1959. Moelv
Moelv is a town in Ringsaker Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The town is located along the shores of the lake Mjøsa, about south of the town of Lillehammer and about the same distance northwest of the town of Hamar. Moelv is the second largest urban area in Ringsaker municipality (after Brumunddal). The town has a population (2021) of 4,465 and a population density of . Situated at the shores of lake Mjøsa at the mouth of the Moelva river, the town is bordered by green, forested hills farmland. The town consists of a few shopping centers, the Moelv Station along the Dovrebanen railway line, and some pubs and restaurants. The Dovre Line ( no, Dovrebanen) is a Norwegian railway line with three slightly different lines which all lead to the historic city of Trondheim. Definition *Dovre Line is the current name of the 548 km main line of the Norwegian railway system (Jernbaneverket) between Oslo and Trondheim, used by Jernbaneverket (some times) and Vy (former NSB). *Dovre Line is also the 484 km main line between Eidsvoll and Trondheim, used by Jernbaneverket since 2008. *Dovre Line was the name of the 209 km main line between Dombås and Trondheim until 2008. European Route E6
European route E6 ( no, Europavei 6, sv, Europaväg 6, or simply E6) is the main north-south thoroughfare through Norway as well as the west coast of Sweden. It is long and runs from the southern tip of Sweden at Trelleborg, into Norway and through almost all of the country north to the Arctic Circle and Nordkapp. The route ends in Kirkenes close to the Russian border. Route From south to north, E6 runs through Trelleborg, Malmö, Helsingborg, Halmstad, Gothenburg, Svinesund in Sweden, before crossing the border at the Svinesund Bridge into Norway. Brumunddal
Brumunddal is a town in Ringsaker Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The town is the administrative centre of the municipality. It is located on the shores of the lake Mjøsa, about north of the town of Hamar. The town is a small, densely populated area surrounded by countryside and farms.
