Rudolf Karelson
Rudolf Karelson (6 August 1929 Uulu Parish – 25 September 2006) was an Estonian linguist. In 1954 he graduated from Tartu University in Estonian philology. Since 1961 he worked at Estonian Language Institute. His main fields of research were vocabulary of Estonian literary language, grammar of Finnic languages. He was an editor of "Eesti keele seletav sõnaraamat" ('Explanatory dictionary of Estonian language'; ( :et)). Tartu University
The University of Tartu (UT; et, Tartu Ülikool; la, Universitas Tartuensis) is a university in the city of Tartu in Estonia. It is the national university of Estonia. It is the only classical university in the country, and also its biggest and most prestigious university. Literary Language
A literary language is the form (register) of a language used in written literature, which can be either a nonstandard dialect or a standardized variety of the language.
