Rudolf Hundstorfer
Rudolf Hundstorfer (19 September 1951 – 20 August 2019) was an Austrian Social Democratic Party of Austria, social democratic politician who served as president of the Austrian Trade Union Federation (ÖGB). Hundstorfer was from December 2008 to January 2016 the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection (Austria), Federal Minister for Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection. Since 1966 Hundstorfer worked as civil servant for the City of Vienna (''Magistrat''). He graduated from the ''Bundesgymnasium'' for professionals in 1976 (''Matura''). The following year he graduated as an administration official (''Beamtenaufstiegsprüfung''). From the early 1970s he was active in the Union of Municipal Employees (GDG), of which he was chairman from May 2003 on. From 1990 he was a member of the Vienna City Council and the State Parliament, from 1995 also chairman of the local council. Heinz Fischer
Heinz Fischer GColIH OMRI RSerafO GCollSE (; born 9 October 1938) is a former Austrian politician. He took office as President of Austria on 8 July 2004 and was re-elected for a second and last term on 25 April 2010, leaving office on 8 July 2016. Fischer previously served as minister of science from 1983 to 1987 and as president of the National Council of Austria from 1990 to 2002. A member of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ), he suspended his party membership for the duration of his presidency. Early life Fischer was born in Graz, Styria, which had recently become part of Nazi Germany, following Germany’s annexation of Austria in March 1938. Fischer attended a grammar school which focused on humanities and graduated in 1956. He studied law at the University of Vienna, earning a doctorate in 1961.
