David Rudman (born June 1, 1963) is an American puppeteer, puppet builder, writer, director, and producer known for his involvement with the Muppets and ''Sesame Street''. David Rudman (April 13, 1943 – February 8, 2022) was a Russian-American wrestler, Sambo world champion, and judo European champion. Early and personal life Rudman was born in Kuybyshev (now Samara, Russia). He emigrated to the United States in 1994, and lived in New York City, where was involved in sports administration. Rudman died on February 8, 2022, at the age of 78. Wrestling career He was a member of the sport association " Dynamo". In 1965–69 and 1973, he was the USSR Wrestling Champion at 70 kg. He was second in the USSR championship at 70 kg in 1970–72, and third in 1974. Sambo career In 1967, he was the Champion of the first International Sambo Tournament, at 70 kg. Rudman described sambo as "is a combination of many forms of martial arts, designed to give Soviet soldiers the edge in combat fighting". Shelley Rudman (born 23 March 1981) is a former skeleton bobsleigh athlete. She was the 2013 world champion in the event, won an Olympic silver medal at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in skeleton and is a former World Cup and European champion. Early career Rudman took up skeleton in October 2002, after a university friend and skeleton athlete introduced her to the sport at the University of Bath push track. At the time, she was working full-time at the ACS International Schools, Cobham, Surrey and was in her third year of a Bachelor of Science degree course at St Mary's College, Twickenham. After unsuccessfully seeking a place on Bath University's skeleton development team, she decided to apply for an ice school in Norway run by the British military to pursue the sport. Warren Bruce Rudman (May 18, 1930November 19, 2012) was an American attorney and Republican politician who served as United States Senator from New Hampshire between 1980 and 1993. He was known as a moderate centrist, to such an extent that President Clinton approached him in 1994 about replacing departing Treasury Secretary Lloyd Bentsen in Clinton's cabinet, an offer that Rudman declined. After two terms in office, Rudman chose not to run for re-election in 1992. Military career General Rudman was an honorary Special Forces Operator, Pathfinder and parachutist instructor.
