David Rudman
David Rudman (born June 1, 1963) is an American puppeteer, puppet builder, writer, director, and producer known for his involvement with the Muppets and ''Sesame Street''. Career David Rudman has been a ''Sesame Street'' Muppet performer since 1985—currently performing Cookie Monster (since 2001), Baby Bear and the right head of the Two-Headed Monster (since 1998). He has received four Emmy nominations as Outstanding Performer in a Children's Series for his work on ''Sesame Street''. Rudman has also directed several web videos for ''Sesame Street'' such as "Cookie Monster Auditions for Saturday Night Live" and "Conversations with Bert". He has performed in numerous television shows and specials including ''Saturday Night Live'', ''The Colbert Report'', ''The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon'', ''Jimmy Kimmel Live!'' and ''The Muppets'', where he performed characters originally portrayed by Richard Hunt, such as Scooter, Janice, Bobby Benson and Wayne. ''Labyrinth'' is a 1986 musical fantasy film directed by Jim Henson with George Lucas as executive producer. Based on conceptual designs by Brian Froud, the film was written by Terry Jones, and many of its characters are played by puppets produced by Jim Henson's Creature Shop. The film stars Jennifer Connelly as 16-year-old Sarah and David Bowie as Jareth, The Goblin King. In ''Labyrinth'', Sarah embarks on a quest to reach the center of an enormous, otherworldly maze to rescue her infant half-brother Toby, whom she wished away to Jareth. The film started as a collaboration between Henson and Froud following their previous collaboration '' The Dark Crystal'' (1982). ''Little Muppet Monsters'' is a Saturday morning television series featuring the Muppets that aired three episodes on CBS in 1985. The first season of '' Muppet Babies'' did so well in the ratings, that CBS decided to expand the series from a half-hour to an hour, pairing ''Muppet Babies'' with ''Little Muppet Monsters''. They called the hour-long package ''Muppets, Babies and Monsters''. Plot The show was anchored by three young Muppet monsters: Tug (performed by Richard Hunt), Molly (performed by Camille Bonora), and Boo (performed by David Rudman). ''Curious Buddies'' is a series of direct-to-video specials narrated by Cathy Richardson. It was produced by Spiffy Pictures for Nickelodeon. The series was released across seven videos from August 31, 2004, to April 12, 2005. The series is aimed at babies and toddlers. It was made to compete with the ''Baby Einstein'' line. ''Jack's Big Music Show'' is an American musical children's television series produced for the Noggin channel. It was created and executive produced by David Rudman, Todd Hannert, and Adam Rudman through their company Spiffy Pictures. The main character is a young puppet musician named Jack who has a musical clubhouse in his backyard. The premiere episode was simulcast on both Noggin and its sister channel, Nickelodeon, on September 12, 2005. The show ran for two seasons and 26 episodes in total, which finished airing on October 13, 2007. The popularity of the show made the idea of appearing on it attractive to musicians.
