RuPaul's Drag Race (season 11)
The eleventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' aired on VH1 from February 28, 2019, to May 30, 2019. The cast featured fourteen new queens and one returning queen, making it the largest cast of the series so far; the contestants were announced in a Live streaming, live stream hosted by RuPaul's Drag Race (season 10), season 10 winner Aquaria (drag queen), Aquaria and Adam Rippon on January 24, 2019. The winner of the eleventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' was Yvie Oddly, with Brooke Lynn Hytes being the runner-up, and Nina West being Miss Congeniality. RuPaul's Drag Race (season 10), Season 10 contestant Vanessa Vanjie Mateo returned to the competition, placing 5th. At the time of release Season 11 featured the largest cast in the show's history to date, with fifteen queens competing. This was later outperformed by Season 15, with sixteen queens competing. RuPaul Andre Charles (born November 17, 1960; stylized as RuPaul) is an American drag queen, television personality, actor, musician, and model. Shuga Cain is the stage name of Jesus Martinez (born November 20, 1977), an American drag queen and baker who came to international attention on the eleventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. Early life Martinez was born in Oakland, California and as a child moved to Northern California, where he grew up in a predominantly caucasian neighborhood. His father was Salvadoran, and his mother was Apache with Spanish ancestry. He received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and a Master of Music degree from DePaul University, both in applied voice.
