Rozvadov (german: Roßhaupt) is a municipality and village in Tachov District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 700 inhabitants. Geography Rozvadov is located about southwest of Tachov, west of Plzeň and southwest of Prague, on the border with Germany. It lies in the central part of the Upper Palatine Forest. Waidhaus is a municipality in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in Bavaria, Germany. It lies near the border with the Czech Republic, and near the major border crossing between Bavaria and the Czech Republic, where the Bavarian A6 meets the Czech D5 motorway. King's Casino Rozvadov
King's Resort is a casino and resort located in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. The casino currently houses the largest poker room in Europe. History In 2002, art collector and poker player Leon Tsoukernik decided to open a casino. King's Casino Rozvadov opened on 26 June 2003. In 2015, its cooperation with the World Series of Poker (WSOP) started with a WSOP Circuit Event. King's Casino has hosted the WSOP Europe since 2017 (and will last until 2021, or potentially longer). In 2018, the King’s Casino was renamed to King's Resort. Approximately two hundred thousand poker players played in the casino in 2014. Over €15 million was paid out to players in poker tournament price pools that year. Diana (Rozvadov)
Diana (german: Dianaberg) is a village and administrative part of Rozvadov in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. As of 2011, the population was 27 people. The area of Diana consists also of a former glasshouse and a large defunct woodworking factory. Geography Diana is located in the forests in the southern part of the municipality. The adjacent Diana Nature Reserve (since 1933) consists of one of the oldest and most valuable beech tree forests in the Upper Palatine Forest. D5 Motorway (Czech Republic)
D5 motorway ( cs, Dálnice D5) is a highway in the Czech Republic. It runs from Prague through Plzeň into Germany. D5 is long; a bypass of Plzeň includes the Valík Tunnel and the bridge over the River Úhlava. Section between Prague and Beroun is planned to be improved to three lanes in each direction. Upper Palatine Forest
The Upper Palatine Forest (german: Oberpfälzer Wald or ''Böhmischer Wald'', cs, Český les) is a mountain range in Central Europe that is divided between Germany and the Czech Republic. It is part of the larger Bohemian Massif and the German Central Uplands. Geography The German side belongs to the Upper Palatinate region of Bavaria, it stretches about from the Bavarian Forest in the south up to the Fichtel Mountains and the Steinwald range in the north. However, the highest peaks of the range lie along the eastern Czech side in the Plzeň Region of western Bohemia, northwest of the Bohemian Forest. The expulsion of Germans from Czechoslovakia after World War II was part of a series of evacuations and deportations of Germans from Central and Eastern Europe during and after World War II.
