George McQuibban
George Alexander McQuibban (September 2, 1886 – January 30, 1937) was a physician and political figure in Ontario. A Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, he represented Wellington Northeast from 1926 to 1934 and Wellington North from 1934 to his death in 1937. John Henry Haines Root (October 17, 1908 – November 17, 1991) was an Ontario farmer and political figure. He represented Wellington North and then Wellington—Dufferin in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1951 to 1975 as a Progressive Conservative member. He was born in Erin Township, Ontario, the son of David Oscar Root. With his brother Haines, Root ran the family farm and also operated a trucking business to transport livestock and farm supplies. Wellington was an electoral riding in Ontario, Canada. It existed in various incarnations and names throughout its existence. It started as Wellington North in 1867 but was abolished in 1879 after only three terms. James McEwing
James McEwing (April 17, 1850 – August 8, 1921) was a farmer and politician in Ontario, Canada. He represented Wellington West in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1908 to 1911 as a Liberal. The son of James McEwing and Agnes M. Matheson, both natives of Scotland, he was born in Tuckersmith township, Huron County and was educated there. In 1881, he married Louisa Samantha Atkinson. McEwing was a director for the town telephone company and secretary-treasurer and manager for the Peel and Maryborough Mutual Fire Company. He served on the municipal council from 1892 to 1893 and on the Wellington County council from 1897 to 1898 and from 1901 to 1901. McEwing was county warden in 1905. He ran unsuccessfully for the Wellington West seat in 1902.
