Rosen Zhelyazkov
Rosen Zhelyazkov (; born 5 April 1968) is a Bulgarian politician and Speaker of the National Assembly of Bulgaria from 19 April 2023 until 25 April 2024. Career In 1994, he began his career as a legal advisor at the Sofia Municipality's Sredets district, where he has since held senior legal advisor, secretary, and mayoral deputy positions. From starting 1995, he is a civil and commercial lawyer. Between 1998 and 1999, he worked as deputy mayor for "Law and Control" of Lozenets district, Sofia Municipality. From 2003 to 2009 he was secretary of the Sofia Municipality. Later on he continued working as Secretary General of the Council of Ministers from 2009 to 2013. During the period 2014-2016 he was Prime Minister on Public Administration and e-Government. As of 30 September 2016 by a decision of the Council of Ministers he was appointed Chairman of the State e-Government Agency. GERB-SDS
The GERB-SDS ( bg, ГЕРБ-СДС) is the Bulgarian two-party political coalition headed by Boyko Borisov. History A coalition between the two parties was formed ahead of the 2019 European Parliament election in Bulgaria,. On 28 March 2019, an agreement between the two parties was officially signed. In the election, the coalition won first place and received 6 EP seats: 5 went to GERB, 1 to SDS. Party cooperation continued ahead of the April 2021 parliamentary election. The coalition has also signed the political partnership agreements with George's Day Movement, United Agrarians, the Movement for the Unity of the People and the Union of Repressed by Communism "Pamet" The coalition lists were registered in the electoral districts of the country on 1 March 2021. Nikolai Denkov Denkov ( bg, Николай Денков Денков, born September 3, 1962) is a Bulgarian politician who served as Prime Minister of Bulgaria from 2023 to 2024. A member of the PP party, he previously served as a Member of the National Assembly from 2022 to 2023 and as Minister of Education and Science in 2017 and from 2021 to 2022. 2024 Bulgarian Parliamentary Election
Early parliamentary elections were held in Bulgaria on 9 June 2024, to elect members of the National Assembly. The election coincided with the European Parliament election on the same day. This parliamentary election was initially scheduled to be held before 12 June 2027; however, the planned rotation agreed to by GERB and PP–DB failed to materialise in March 2024, and no other government could be formed. GERB–SDS had the best results, winning nearly 24% of the vote and 68 seats, but it did not obtain a majority in the National Assembly. Rumen Georgiev Radev ( bg, Румен Георгиев Радев ; born 18 June 1963) is a Bulgarian politician and former major general who is the current president of Bulgaria since 22 January 2017. Radev previously served as higher commander of the Bulgarian Air Force. PP–DB ( bg, ПП – ДБ) is an electoral coalition between We Continue the Change and Democratic Bulgaria in Bulgaria. The two groups merged prior to the 2023 election.
