Rose Ladies Open
The Rose Ladies Open is a women's professional golf tournament on the LET Access Series, held in Hertfordshire, England. The 54-hole stroke play tournament is hosted at The Melbourne Club at Brocket Hall, and was announced in July 2022 as a late addition to the LETAS schedule. At €65,000, it featured the largest prize fund of the season outside of the LETAS Grand Finale. It is the first LETAS event in England since the WPGA International Challenge which ran between 2013 and 2019 at Stoke-by-Nayland, and succeeds the inaugural English tournament on the LET Access Series, played at Hazlemere Golf Club in south Buckinghamshire in 2011. The tournament is supported by former world number one golfer Justin Rose, who together with wife Kate also launched the Rose Ladies Series in 2020. Justin Rose
Justin Peter Rose, (born 30 July 1980) is an English professional golfer who plays most of his golf on the PGA Tour, while keeping his membership on the European Tour. He won his first major championship at the 2013 U.S. Open (golf), 2013 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club, becoming the first English player to win a major since Nick Faldo in 1996 and the first to win the U.S. Open since Tony Jacklin in 1970. 2022 LET Access Series
The 2022 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from March through October 2022 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. The season sees the introduction of the LETAS Grand Final, a season finale featuring the top 50 players in the Order of Merit, boasting the biggest prize fund in LETAS history with €80,000. My Leander
My Leander (born 12 September 1994) is a Swedish professional golfer. She made the cut at the 2017 Women's British Open, was runner-up at the 2019 WPGA International Challenge, and won the 2022 Rose Ladies Open in England. Amateur career Leander was successful on the junior golf circuit in Sweden, amassing 7 career titles. She was runner-up at the 2012 Annika Invitational Europe, 2 strokes behind Linnea Ström. Leander started playing college golf San Jose State Spartans women's golf team at San José State University in the fall of 2013 and graduated in 2017. She was named 2016–17 Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Year. Her stroke average in the 2016–17 season was the best in school history, shooting 17 rounds under par and six rounds of par and winning two tournaments, the Colonel Wollenberg's Ram Classic and Meadow Club Intercollegiate, and placed second at three other tournaments. Ashleigh Ann Buhai (née Simon, born 11 May 1989) is a South African professional golfer, who won the 2022 Women's Open, one of the major championships in women's golf. Amateur career Buhai had a successful amateur career. She was the youngest player to win the ladies’ South African Amateur Stroke Play and Match Play double. Rose Ladies Series
The Rose Ladies Series is a ladies professional golf tour founded in 2020 and organised by Justin Rose and his wife, Kate Rose. The tour was announced following the reintroduction of golf in the United Kingdom after the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns and while the Ladies European Tour was suspended as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on professional golf. The introduction of the series was also heavily influenced by Ladies European Tour member Liz Young. In its inaugural season, each of the first seven single-round stroke play tournaments and the three-round grand final were played behind closed doors. Stoke-by-Nayland is a village and civil parish in the Babergh district, in the county of Suffolk, England, close to the border with Essex.
