Rose (French Singer)
Keren Meloul (born May 24, 1978), better known as Rose, is a French singer, songwriter, author and composer. After studying law, she became a school teacher, at the Jewish Merkaz Ohr Joseph in the 19e arrondissement of Paris before launching into music. She gained fame in 2006 with the single "La Liste" followed by a similarly titled album. She got a boost when French singer Alain Souchon invited her to open for him at l'Olympia de Paris and at Zénith de Paris in 2006. In 2007 she started her own tour and appeared at La Cigale, a second time at l'Olympia and at the first part of her husband Bensé's concert, and in Montreal in 2008. In 2009, she recorded her second album ''Les Souvenirs sous ma frange,'' produced by Jérôme Plasseraud and Thibaut Barbillon, both members of the group 1973. Alain Souchon (; born Alain Édouard Kienast ; 27 May 1944) is a French singer-songwriter and actor. He has released 15 albums and has played roles in seven films. Profile Alain Souchon was born in Casablanca, Morocco. His family on his mother's side is Swiss, and he has dual French-Swiss nationality. Six months after he was born, his family moved to France. When he was 15 his father died in an accident. His mother sent him to a French college in England, but due to problems registering he decided to stay in London and work. Upon returning to France he took up guitar, influenced by English and American music. In 1970, he married and had his first son continuing to play in the cabarets and bars in the Rive Gauche of Paris. Souchon signed his first contract in 1971 with the Pathe-Marconi label but had no success. La Cigale (; English: ''The Cicada'') is a theatre located at 120, boulevard de Rochechouart near Place Pigalle, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. The theatre is part of a complex connected to the Le Trabendo concert venue and the Boule Noire. The hall can accommodate 1,389 people standing or 954 seated. Jenifer Yaël Juliette Dadouche-Bartoli (born 15 November 1982), known by the mononym Jenifer, is a French singer. Since winning the first season of ''Star Academy France'' in 2002, she has had a number of hit singles on the French, Belgian and Swiss charts.
