Rory Linkletter
Rory Linkletter (born 12 August 1996) is a Canadian Long-distance running, long-distance runner. He represented Canada in the marathon at the 2023 World Athletics Championships – Men's marathon, 2022 and 2023 World Athletics Championships – Men's marathon, 2023 World Championships. He holds a personal best of 2:08:01 set at the Seville Marathon, 2024 Seville Marathon making him the second fastest Canadian of all time over the distance. He formerly held the List of Canadian records in athletics, Canadian half marathon record from January to October of 2022 set at the Houston Half Marathon, 2022 Houston Half Marathon. Early and personal life Born in Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Linkletter moved to Herriman, Utah at the age of 5. 2023 World Athletics Championships
The 2023 World Athletics Championships ( hu, 2023-as atlétikai világbajnokság), the nineteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships, are scheduled to be held from 19 August to 27 August 2023 in Budapest, Hungary. Houston Half Marathon
The Houston Marathon is an annual marathon usually held every January in Houston, Texas, United States, since 1972. With thousands of runners and spectators, it is the largest single day sporting event in the city. It is run concurrently with a half marathon and a 5 km race. The 2007 race included the first-ever satellite running of the event, run simultaneously in Fallujah, Iraq. The races bring crowds of nearly one half million to view the runners. 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships
The 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships was hosted in the city of Kampala, Uganda's capital. This 42nd edition was held on 26 March 2017. The venue was Kampala Airport, commonly known as Kololo airstrip, or officially, the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds. A few modifications were made to make the track challenging. Schedule In keeping with past events, all five races, including the newly introduced mixed relay, were held in the afternoon. The first event was the inaugural mixed relay race, which was won by Kenya. The junior races preceded the senior races, and the senior men's event concluded the programme. Hayward Field is a track and field stadium in the northwest United States, located on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. It has been the home of the university's track and field teams since 1921, and was the on-campus home of the varsity football team from 1919 through 1966.
