Ron Cantelon
Ron Cantelon (born 1943 or 1944) is a Canadian politician, who served in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 2005 to 2013. He represented the ridings of Nanaimo-Parksville from 2005 to 2009, and Parksville-Qualicum from 2009 to 2013, as a member of the BC Liberal Party caucus. He first entered elected political life as a city councillor for Nanaimo City Council in 1999. Parksville-Qualicum is the name of a provincial electoral district in the Provinces and territories of Canada, Canadian province of British Columbia. It was first contested in the 1991 British Columbia general election, 1991 election. Following redistribution, the area became part of the Nanaimo-Parksville and Alberni-Qualicum ridings. It was again contested in the 2009 general election, and was won by Liberal, Ron Cantelon. Michelle Stilwell (''nee'' Bauknecht; born July 4, 1974) is a Canadian wheelchair racer and politician. She is the only female Paralympic athlete to win gold medals in two separate summer sport events. Stilwell was elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia as a BC Liberal candidate for Parksville-Qualicum in the 2013 provincial election.
