Rojavanam
''Rojavanam'' () is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Selva. The film stars Karthik, Laila and Malavika in lead roles. The film's score and soundtrack were composed by Bharathwaj. Plot Muthu ( Karthik) is the favourite employee at Rojavanam, an old age home jointly by two friends ( Ravi Kumar and Nizhalgal Ravi) in Ooty. Sindhu ( Malavika) is a psychology student staying near to the home who falls in love with Muthu. But Muthu develops a liking towards Roja ( Laila), the daughter of his boss, and later learns that the boss and his friend had decided long ago that their children would be married, and this has resulted in the friend's son Siva (Akash) growing up enamoured of Roja. Roja also has a liking towards Muthu and her father accepts Muthu as his son-in-law, but his friend, angered at this, decides to bulldoze Rojavanam to the ground. Selva (director)
Selva (floruit, fl. 1990s) is an Indian director active in Tamil film. He often specializes in film remakes and directed a series of hits the 1990s. His first film ''Thalaivasal (film), Thalaivasal'' launched the career of many. His noted film are ''Amaravathi (1993 film), Amaravathi'', ''Karnaa'', ''Pooveli'', ''James Pandu'', ''Unnaruge Naan Irundhal'', ''Student Number 1'' and ''Naan Avanillai (2007 film), Naan Avanillai''. Malavika (Tamil Actress)
Shweta Konnur Menon (born 19 July 1979), known by her stage name Malavika, is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil films and a few Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films. Personal life Malavika's birth name is Shweta Konnur. She was born to Aishwarya and Brigadier Jayvibhav Konnur in Bengaluru. Malavika married Sumesh in March 2007. An unofficial remake (with Indian twist) of ''A Walk in the Clouds'' (1995), the film stars Karthik, Abbas, Kausalya and Heera Rajagopal. Murali Karthikeyan Muthuraman (born 13 September 1960), better known by his stage name Karthik, is an Indian actor, playback singer and politician who works mainly in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor R. Muthuraman. In the 1980s and 90s, Karthik was one of the biggest stars in the industry. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet.
