Roger Narayan
Raj Narayan is an Indian actor who works in predominantly Kannada and English-language films. He is known for playing one of the leads in ''U Turn'' (2016). Career Roger Narayan studied engineering at BITS Pilani before deciding to pursue his passion of becoming an actor. He subsequently learned acting in several institutions. He changed his stage name from Raj to Roger so that he would not be cast in stereotypical Indian roles. He played supporting roles in several films and television shows before debuting as a lead actor with the multilingual ''Hola Venky'' (2014), which was shot in India. He garnered recognition for his role in the Kannada film ''U Turn'' (2016) as a sub-inspector of police. He played the role of an iyengar in ''The Man Who Knew Infinity'' (2015) and starred in ''417 Miles'', another multilingual venture. U Turn (2016 Film)
''U Turn'' is a 2016 Indian Kannada-language supernatural thriller film written, produced and directed by Pawan Kumar. It stars Shraddha Srinath in the lead role. Roger Narayan, Dileep Raj and Radhika Chetan feature in supporting roles. The plot revolves around the death of motorists who break a traffic rule at a particular flyover in Bangalore and subsequent pinning down of the culprit by an intern journalist and police inspector duo. ''U-Turn'' was first remade in Malayalam in 2017 as '' Careful''. Director Pawan Kumar remade it into a Telugu-Tamil bilingual in 2018 with the same title - thereby making it the third Kannada movie to be remade in three other South Indian languages after '' School Master'' and ''Sampathige Savaal''. ''Punyakoti'' (), also released as ''A Truthful Mother'', is a 2020 Indian Sanskrit-language animated film directed by Ravishankar Venkateswaran. It is the first animated film in Sanskrit.
