Rod Bruinooge
Rod E. Bruinooge (born May 6, 1973) is a Canadian politician, businessman, and filmmaker. He was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Winnipeg South in the 2006 federal election, and was the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and the Federal Interlocutor for Métis and Non-Status Indians from 2006 until the fall of 2008. Bruinooge is a member of the Conservative Party of Canada, and is an Aboriginal Canadian of Métis descent. He retired from parliament at the 2015 federal election. Bruinooge became CEO of Eventride in May 2016. Early life and career Bruinooge's father originated from Wemeldinge, Netherlands. After moving to Canada, he married an Indigenous woman. Reg Alcock
Reginald B. Alcock, (April 16, 1948 – October 14, 2011) was a Canadian politician. He represented the riding of Winnipeg South in the House of Commons of Canada from 1993 to 2006 and was a cabinet minister in the government of Prime Minister Paul Martin. Alcock was a member of the Liberal Party of Canada. Early life and career Alcock was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University and a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University. He was the director of Manitoba Child and Family Services from 1983 to 1985 and in this capacity spearheaded an effort to rewrite the province's child protection legislation. As a result of his efforts, Manitoba became the first province in Canada to introduce official protocols to deal with instances of child sex abuse. ''The Division Bell'' is the fourteenth studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released on 28 March 1994 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and on 4 April by Columbia Records in the United States. The Publius Enigma is an Internet phenomenon and an unsolved problem that began with cryptic messages posted by a user identifying only as "Publius" to the unmoderated Usenet newsgroup alt.music.pink-floyd through the Penet remailer, a now defunct anonymous information exchange service. The messenger proposed a riddle in connection with the 1994 Pink Floyd album ''The Division Bell'', promising that the answer would lead to a reward. Guitarist David Gilmour denied any involvement, while album artist Storm Thorgerson was bemused. According to drummer Nick Mason, EMI Records were responsible. ''The Stone'' is an online game developed by web company Abject Modernity Internet Creations Inc. in 1995. The mystery game was created in 1996 but launched as a consumer product in 1997. People had to buy a physical stone containing the login credentials to the website, which was unheard of at the time. In 1999, ''The Stone'' was profiled by ''Forbes'' magazine. The Manitoba Children's Museum is a non-profit, charitable children's museum located at The Forks, Winnipeg, The Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. History The museum was founded in 1983. 1993 Progressive Conservative Leadership Election
The 1993 Progressive Conservative leadership election was held on June 13, 1993 to choose a leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, with Kim Campbell winning the vote in the second ballot. She became the first female Prime Minister of Canada on June 25, 1993. Initially, Campbell's popularity caused very few prominent Progressive Conservatives to enter the race, with Michael Wilson, Perrin Beatty, Barbara McDougall, and Joe Clark not making expected runs.
