Roccagorga
Roccagorga is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Latina in the Italian region Lazio, located about southeast of Rome and about northeast of Latina. Roccagorga borders the following municipalities: Carpineto Romano, Maenza, Priverno, Sezze. Physical geography The terrain is primarily hilly and mountainous with a soil rich in calcium. This helps provide a year-round supply of water to the area. The climate is mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Agriculture in the area focuses on the growing of olives, as favoured by the mediterranean climate, the calcareous soil and the southern exposure of the hillsides. History Roccagorga is situated on Monte Nero, a hill in the southern Lepini mountains. Santi Leonardo e Erasmo is a Baroque architecture, Baroque-style, Roman Catholic church located in Roccagorga, province of Latina, region of Lazio, central Italy. Privernum
Priverno is a town, ''comune'' in the province of Latina, Lazio, central Italy. It was called ''Piperno'' until 1927. It has a station of the Rome-Naples railway mainline. Nearby is the Monti Lepini chain. It was the birthplace of the canonist Reginald of Piperno. History ''Privernum'' is described by Livy as a flourishing Volscian site, which was conquered and destroyed by the Romans in the late 4th century BC. The Appian Way passed nearby. Lepini Mountains
The Monti Lepini (Italian: Lepini mountains) are a mountain range which belongs to the Anti-Apennines of the Lazio region of central Italy, between the two provinces of Latina and Rome. The range borders to the north with the Colli Albani, to the south-east with the Amaseno Valley, to the south with the Monti Ausoni and to the west with the Pontinian Plain. The highest peak is the Monte Semprevisa (1,536 m). The name derives probably from the Latin ''lapis'' (stone), referring to the mountains’ limestone rocks. Italian Socialist Party
The Italian Socialist Party (, PSI) was a socialist and later social-democratic political party in Italy, whose history stretched for longer than a century, making it one of the longest-living parties of the country. Founded in Genoa in 1892, the PSI dominated the Italian left until after World War II, when it was eclipsed in status by the Italian Communist Party. The Socialists came to special prominence in the 1980s, when their leader Bettino Craxi, who had severed the residual ties with the Soviet Union and re-branded the party as " liberal-socialist", served as Prime Minister (1983–1987).
