Robinson Lifestyle Center
Robinson Lifestyle (previously Robinson Lifestyle Center) is a chain of shopping malls operated by Robinson Co., Ltd. as part of its Robinson Department Store brand under Central Group. The first branch opened in Trang, Thailand on 11 November 2010. The Lifestyle brand concept is for medium-sized malls, with the aim of penetrating secondary provinces where big shopping malls are not present. A typical sized mall will have a retail space of around 30,000 square meters, with 20,000 net leasable area. Its twenty-third branch was opened in 2019. Robinson Department Store
Robinson Department Store is a Thai owned department store. It was established in 1979 and was merged with Central Group in 1995. It is positioned as a mid-market retailer. The company, Robinson Public Company Limited, was registered in the stock exchange of Thailand in 1992 under the ticker . It is listed on the SET50 index. The company and its subsidiaries operate department stores under the Robinson brand and shopping centers under Robinson Lifestyle brand. As of year-end 2014 operated 39 stores in Thailand and two in Vietnam totaling over 450,000 m2 of retail space. A total of 48 branches were scheduled by the end of 2018: 11 branches in Bangkok Metropolitan Region and 37 branches in other provinces, together with 2 branches in Vietnam. Central Group consists of a variety of diverse investments in various corporations in Thailand and abroad, including investments in retail, property development, brand management, hospitality, and food and beverage sectors, and in digital lifestyle. History Founder Tiang emigrated from Hainan Island to Bangkok in 1925. Most other Chinese immigrants started businesses in Chinatown, Bangkok. Thesaban nakhon Trang ( (translated as Trang city municipality)), City of Trang, or Trang (, ), also called Mueang Thap Thiang (), is a ''thesaban nakhon'' (city municipality) and the Capital (political), capital of Trang Province, Thailand.
