Roberto Colazingari
Roberto Colazingari (born 7 May 1993) is an Italian slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2008. He is from Subiaco and trains with C.S. Carabinieri, coached by 2012 Olympic Champion Daniele Molmenti. Roberto competed internationally in the C2 discipline in 2011 and 2012, now competing solely in C1. Colazingari won two bronze medals in the C1 team event at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, earning them in 2022 and 2023. Roberto has also won two medals at the European Championships in the C1 team event with a bronze in 2017 and a silver in 2021 at Tacen and Ivrea, respectively. His best senior world championship results are 5th (C1: 2017, Pau) and 42nd (C2: 2011, Bratislava). Subiaco, Lazio
Subiaco is a town and ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Rome, in Lazio, central Italy, from Tivoli alongside the river Aniene. European Junior And U23 Canoe Slalom Championships
The European Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships is an annual international canoeing and kayaking event organized by the European Canoe Association (ECA). The Junior Championships were first held in 1995 and then every two years until 2003. The Under-23 Championships were first held in 2002 as part of the senior championships that year. Since 2004 the junior and U23 age categories are held annually together as part of the same event. Athletes under the age of 18 are eligible for the junior category. Stefanie Horn
Stefanie Horn (born 9 January 1991 in Bottrop, Germany) is a German-Italian Canoe slalom, slalom canoeist who competed for Germany from 2006 to 2012. She has represented Italy since 2013. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Horn is an athlete of the Gruppo Sportivo della Marina Militare, Career She won a silver medal in the Mixed C2 event at the 2017 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Pau together with Niccolò Ferrari. The 2019 Canoe Slalom World Cup was a series of five races in several canoeing and kayaking categories organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF). It was the 32nd edition. Calendar The series opened with World Cup Race 1 in Lee Valley, England (13–16 June) and ended with the World Cup Final in Prague, Czech Republic (6–8 September). Čunovo Water Sports Centre
The Čunovo Water Sports Centre is an artificial whitewater slalom course in Slovakia, on an island in the Danube river, 14 km southeast of Bratislava, near the village of Čunovo. It is powered by flow diversion from the Čunovo dam. Since 1997, it has hosted a full schedule of local, regional, and international competitions, including multiple World Cup races, 2 European Championships and the 2011 World Championships. The 2011 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships took place from September 7–11, 2011 in Bratislava, Slovakia under the auspices of International Canoe Federation. It was the 34th edition. Bad weather conditions on September 7 and 8 forced the organizers to make changes to the schedule. The events were all held over the remaining three days of the Championships. Pau-Pyrénées Whitewater Stadium
Pau-Pyrénées Whitewater Stadium (french: Stade d'eaux-vives Pau-Pyrénées) is the home training facility for the French national canoe slalom team. It was first used to train the French team for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. It 2009, it was the first of three venues used in the canoe slalom World Cup. It is also a whitewater park for recreational use by the general public. History and Design The town of Pau has long been a center of activity for French canoe slalom. The natural rapids in the center of town are still equipped with hanging slalom gates. 2017 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships
The 2017 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships was the 38th edition of the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships. The event took place from 22 September to 1 October 2017 in Pau, France under the auspices of International Canoe Federation (ICF) at the Pau-Pyrénées Whitewater Stadium. Pau was also hosting the Wildwater Canoeing World Championships as part of the same event. The Mixed C2 event returned to the world's program for the first time since 1981. The men's C2 team event was not a world championship event due to only 4 countries participating. A non-olympic event must have participants from at least 6 countries to be counted as a world championship. The 2011 European Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships took place in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina from 14 to 17 July 2011 under the auspices of the European Canoe Association (ECA). It was the 13th edition of the competition for Juniors (U18) and the 9th edition for the Under 23 category. A total of 18 medal events took place.
