Chimaira
Chimaira () is an American heavy metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in August 1998, the group was a member of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal scene. The band's name is derived from the word Chimera, a monstrous creature in Greek mythology. Throughout its history, the band had numerous line-up changes, leaving vocalist Mark Hunter as the only constant member. The band dissolved in 2014, but announced a one-off reunion in late 2017 wherein most of the group's longtime members rejoined. History Early days (1998–1999) Prior to Chimaira, vocalist Mark Hunter and bassist Jim LaMarca were part of a previous band known as Skipline, which lasted 2 years from 1996 to 1998. Scream! (Misfits Song)
"Scream" is the ninth single by the horror punk band the Misfits, and the first single released from their 1999 album ''Famous Monsters''. The music video for the song was directed by George A. Romero, famous for his ''Living Dead'' series of zombie films. Background "Scream" was written in a parking lot in Seattle while the Misfits were on tour. The band had learned that director Wes Craven was interested in using Misfits songs for his film '' Wishmaster'', but instead they decided to submit a song for the upcoming ''Scream 2''. They recorded a demo version of the song at a studio in Phoenix, Arizona. Singer Michale Graves described this early version as having a Peter Murphy influence. The demo was submitted to Craven but was not used for the film. "Scream" was later re-recorded for the band's 1999 album ''Famous Monsters''. Downthesun (stylised in lowercase) was an American nu metal band formed in Kansas City, Missouri in 1999. The group was known for their abrasive and heavy sound as well as their association with Slipknot. Downthesun was the only act signed to Slipknot's short-lived record label, Maggot Corps. The group released one studio album, 2002's '' Downthesun'', before breaking up in 2004. They briefly reunited in 2010 and have been inactive since 2011. History Formation and early years (1999–2001) Downthesun was formed by bassist Lance "Kuk" Collier and keyboardist Nathan Church, who were in a local Kansas City rap metal band called Canvas. Sinch is an American alternative rock band formed in 1994 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. History The alternative rock quartet, Sinch formed in 1994 while its members were attending different high schools in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Doylestown and Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, Willow Grove. To the dismay of parents and the bemusement of friends, the members of Sinch made a pact that upon leaving school they would dedicate themselves to the band rather than pursue college or the military. Murderdolls was an American rock music, rock band founded during 2002 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood, California.
