The Rivière du Premier Rang (''English: First Row River'') is a tributary of the west bank of the Jean-Noël River flowing on the north bank of the Saint Lawrence River, in the municipalities of Saint-Hilarion and Les Éboulements, in the MRC of Charlevoix Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of Capitale-Nationale, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. The southern part of this small valley is accessible by the chemin du 1er Rang de Saint-Hilarion and the chemin du rang Saint-Nicolas (south side of the river) of Les Éboulements. The upper part is served by Chemin Principal de Saint-Hilarion and chemin des Pins. Forestry is the main economic activity in this valley; recreational tourism, second. Baie-Saint-Paul (; 2021 Population 7,371; UA population 4,308) is a city in the Province of Quebec, Canada, on the northern shore of the St. Lawrence River. Baie-Saint-Paul is the seat of Charlevoix Regional County Municipality. The city is situated at the mouth of the Gouffre River. The place gained some prominence in the 1770s when Doctor Philippe-Louis-François Badelard named a disease he was researching the "Baie-Saint-Paul maladie". La Malbaie
La Malbaie () is a municipality in the Charlevoix-Est Regional County Municipality in the Province of Quebec, Canada, situated on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River at the mouth of the Malbaie River. It was formerly known as Murray Bay. La Malbaie is the seat of the judicial district of Charlevoix. Although the main business district is located at the mouth of the Malbaie River, the town itself covers a vast area that extends inland along both sides of the Malbaie River and north and south along the St. Lawrence River. Saint-Irénée () is a municipality in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada. The municipality is home to the Charlevoix Airport and Domaine Forget, an international education institution in music and dance. Quebec Route 138
Route 138 is a major highway in the Canadian province of Quebec, following the entire north shore of the St. Lawrence River past Montreal to the temporary eastern terminus in Kegashka on the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The western terminus is in Elgin, at the border with New York State south-west of Montreal (connecting with New York State Route 30 at the Trout River Border Crossing). Part of this highway is known as the '' Chemin du Roy'', or King's Highway, which is one of the oldest highways in Canada. Saint-Hilarion () is a parish municipality in Charlevoix Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of Capitale-Nationale of the province of Quebec, Canada. It is named after Saint Hilarion. History In 1822. the geographic township of Settrington was proclaimed, named after a village in Yorkshire, England. Colonization of the area began in 1830 with the arrival of the first settlers from Les Éboulements. In 1855, the Township Municipality of Settrington was created, followed by the parish of Saint-Hilarion-de-Settrington in 1860.
