Rinaldi Clan
The Rinaldi clan is a Camorra clan operating in the area of San Giovanni a Teduccio, in the eastern area of the city of Naples. Since 2019 the clan has formed an alliance with the Ponticelli's De Luca Bossa clan, and Barra's Aprea-Cuccaro clan, called by the media Rinaldi-De Luca Bossa-Aprea, which has emerged as the most powerful Camorra group in the eastern region of Naples. History The Rinaldi clan was founded in 1989 from the split of the Mazzarella clan. The clan from the beginning was marked by great blood ties between its leaders, their leadership was conventional, strong and imposing. The first head of the clan was Antonio Rinaldi, known as 'O Giallo, boss with great criminal capabilities and killed in 1989 by order of Gennaro Mazzarella. San Giovanni A Teduccio
San Giovanni a Teduccio is a coastal suburb in the east of Naples, in southern Italy. Etymology The area took its name after the discovery of a marble bust of John the Baptist in the 4th century which was found in a building that belonged to Theodosia, one of the daughters of Roman Emperor Valentinian I. The name "Teduccio" is a deformation of her name and in Latin the settlement was known as ''Sanctus Johannis ad Theodociam''. Geography The area has a population of about 30,000 inhabitants. History The area was incorporated into the city of Naples under Fascist rule. It has been heavily developed since the end of World War II and it suffers the same problems of unemployment and crime that afflict many of the suburbs in Naples. Rione Sanità
Rione Sanità (literally "Health Neighbourhood" in Italian) is a neighbourhood in Naples, part of the Stella quarter. It is located north of Naples' historical centre, adjacent to the Capodimonte hill. History What is now Rione Sanità was a burial place in Roman and Hellenistic times, as witnessed by the discovery of Hellenistic hypogea and Paleochristian catacombs. The area was settled in the late 16th Century. Some local traditions and places, such as the rite of the Pezzentelle (see below), witness a cultural attitude towards death that may be related to the area's original use. While the settlement in Rione Sanità was originally established as a home for noble and rich families of Naples' aristocracy (as witnessed by palazzi such as Palazzo Sanfelice and Palazzo dello Spagnolo), the area eventually turned into one of the most infamous and degraded of Naples. ''Pentito'' (; lit. "repentant"; plural: ''pentiti'') is used colloquially to designate collaborators of justice in Italian criminal procedure terminology who were formerly part of criminal organizations and decided to collaborate with a public prosecutor. Barra is an eastern quarter of Naples, southern Italy, with a population of some 40,000 inhabitants (38,103 in the 2001 census.) Ponticelli is an eastern suburb of Naples, southern Italy with a population of some 70,000 inhabitants. Geography It is located inland, near the highway connections of the city; Barra lies to the south. Ponticelli end with San Giorgio a Cremano, Volla and Cercola. It is part of Comune di Napoli. The River Sebeto crossed the territory of Ponticelli till 1950, when it was covered. The area was humid and covered by water. Between 1930 and 1950 the land was urbanized.
