Prabuty
Prabuty (german: Riesenburg) is a town in Kwidzyn County within the Pomeranian Voivodeship of northern Poland. Before World War I, the town belonged to the German province of West Prussia. It was ceded to Poland in 1945. Between 1975 and 1998, Prabuty was part of the Elbląg Voivodeship. Geographical location Prabuty is located approximately 18 kilometers east of Kwidzyn, 100 kilometers southeast of Gdańsk, 100 kilometers west of Olsztyn, and 133 kilometers southwest of Kaliningrad. Prabuty is a rail junction on the Warszawa–Gdynia railway. History In 1236, the Teutonic Knights under Henry III, Margrave of Meissen, destroyed an Old Prussian fortress between the lakes Dzierzgoń and Liwieniec. The settlement was first mentioned in 1250 as ''Riesenburg''. The village grew around the castle and received Culm law city rights on 30 October 1330 from bishop Rudolf of Pomerania (1322–1332). Riisipere
Riisipere (german: Riesenberg) is a small borough (') in the Saue Parish, Harju County, Estonia. Prior to the administrative reform of Estonian local governments in March 2017, Riisipere was the administrative center of Nissi Parish. Located on the Ääsmäe-Haapsalu road, its distance from Tallinn is 45 km, from Haapsalu 50 km, Märjamaa 30 km, Rapla 40 km. The town Riisipere railway station, the terminus of the Elron Tallinn-Keila-Riisipere line, has been electrified since 1981. Originally the line continued to Haapsalu. The Riisipere–Haapsalu section was abandoned in 2004, but is due to be rebuilt as far as Turba during 2019, as a first step towards eventually re-opening the line to Haapsalu (and possibly the port at Rohuküla ). Douglas John Riesenberg (born July 23, 1965) is a former American football offensive tackle in the National Football League for the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and started in Super Bowl XXV. Born in Carroll, Iowa, Riesenberg moved to Moscow, Idaho, before his freshman year of high school. At Moscow High School, he was an all-state football player for the Bears on both offense and defense, an all-state basketball player, and a three-time state champion in the discus. His father, Louis, a professor at the University of Idaho since 1979, was the chairman of the agricultural education department. After being heavily recruited by colleges from coast to coast, Riesenberg attended the University of California, Berkeley, to study electrical engineering and computer science. Felix Riesenberg
Felix Riesenberg (9 April 1879 – 19 November 1939) was an American maritime officer and writer of maritime professional, historical, and fictional literature in the early 20th century. Biography Riesenberg was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He later attended the New York Nautical School graduating in the class of 1897. Afterward, he secured a position as a deck officer in the merchant marine, being part of the Coast and Geodetic Survey and also serving in the Naval Reserve until 1909. Riesenberg was hired by Walter Wellman to be a part of the support crew in an unsuccessful attempt to reach the North Pole by airship in the summer of 1906. He was rehired by Wellman the following year to be the navigator aboard the three man airship '' America'' in a second failed attempt to reach the North Pole in 1907. Sidney Riesenberg
Sidney Harry Riesenberg (12 December 1885 – 11 October 1971) was an illustrator and artist who lived in Yonkers, New York. He was known as a professional illustrator for his posters for the United States Marine Corps and the Liberty bond programs, for his illustrations for book covers, magazines, and for oil paintings of diverse subjects. He retired from his professional work and dedicated his full-time energy to painting fine arts and teaching. In 1937 he began spending summers in Rockport, Massachusetts, where he painted scenes of the small fishing town. He was active in the Rockport Art Association, teaching oil painting and participating in water color figure painting classes. Hiltpoltstein Castle (german: Burg Hiltpoltstein) was originally a high mediaeval aristocratic castle dating to the 11th or 12th century. It stands in the centre of the market village of Markt Hiltpoltstein in the Upper Franconian county of Forchheim in the south German state of Bavaria. Its present appearance as a triple-winged building goes back to renovations carried out at the end of the 16th century.
