Rickard Koch
Rickard Koch (born 24 February 1976) is a Swedish bandy player who currently plays for Hammarby IF Bandy as a midfielder. Koch represented the Swedish national bandy team in the 2004/05 season. In April 2008 he signed a new two-year contract with "Bajen". Bandy
Bandy is a winter sport and ball sport played by two teams wearing ice skates on a large ice surface (either indoors or outdoors) while using sticks to direct a ball into the opposing team's goal. The international governing body for bandy is the Federation of International Bandy (FIB). The playing surface, called a bandy field or bandy rink, is a sheet of ice which measures 90–110 meters by 45–65 meters – about the size of a football pitch. The field is considerably larger than the ice rinks commonly used for ice hockey, rink bandy, or figure skating. The goal cage used in bandy is 3.5 m (11 ft) wide and 2.1 m (6 ft 11 in) high and is the largest one used by any organized winter team sport. Hammarby IF Bandyförening is a Swedish bandy club from Södermalm, Stockholm, a section of the sports club Hammarby IF. Hammarby IF was founded under its present name in 1897 and has been playing bandy since 1905. The club currently play in Elitserien, which is the highest division in Sweden, and has won it twice. History Hammarby IF Bandy is one of the oldest bandy clubs in Sweden, founded in 1905 as a department of sports club Hammarby IF. At this time, there were several other Stockholm teams who also played bandy – AIK, IFK Stockholm, Djurgårdens IF, IF Swithiod and Djursholm. The Sweden national bandy team ( sv, Sveriges herrlandslag i bandy) represents Sweden in the sport of bandy. There are two separate national teams, a national bandy team for men, and a national bandy team for women. This article deals chiefly with Sweden's national men's bandy team. Sweden has been playing friendlies against Finland and Norway since the early 20th century. In 1907 and 1909 there were also occasional games against Russia and Denmark. The games were set up informally from 1907 and in official internationals from 1919. Agreements were made to play friendlies against Soviet Union in the late 1940s, but the plans did not come to realization. Finland, Norway and Sweden played bandy at the Winter Olympics in Oslo in 1952. After having seen them there, the Soviet Union invited these three countries to a four nation bandy tournament in 1954. Selånger FK
Selånger FK is a Swedish football club located in Selånger in Västernorrland County. It is a part of the alliance club Selånger SK. Their most acclaimed player is Vilma Abrahamsson. Background Selånger Fotbollklubb was founded in 1921 as Selånger Sportklubb (Selånger SK). Selånger SK had departments for a number of sports, but in 1991 it was split up in a number of clubs which however still cooperate in an alliance and share the same logo. Apart from Selånger FK, these are Selånger SK Bandy and Selånger SOK. The football club are now one of the biggest clubs in Västernorrland with 650 members.
