Rheingau-Taunus – Limburg is an electoral constituency (German: ''Wahlkreis'') represented in the Bundestag. It elects one member via first-past-the-post voting. Under the current constituency numbering system, it is designated as constituency 178. It is located in southwestern Hesse, comprising the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis district and the southwestern part of the Limburg-Weilburg district. Rheingau-Taunus – Limburg was created for the inaugural 1949 federal election. Since 1998, it has been represented by Klaus-Peter Willsch of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Geography Rheingau-Taunus – Limburg is located in southwestern Hesse. Limburg-Weilburg is a Kreis (district) in the west of Hesse, Germany. Neighboring districts are Lahn-Dill, Hochtaunuskreis, Rheingau-Taunus, Rhein-Lahn, Westerwaldkreis. 1961 West German Federal Election
Federal elections were held in West Germany on 17 September 1961 to elect the members of the fourth Bundestag. CDU/CSU remained the largest faction, winning 242 of the 499 seats. Campaign For the first time, the SPD announced a Chancellor candidate who was not chairman of the party: Willy Brandt, the Governing Mayor of West Berlin. After the building of the Berlin Wall, he gained more and more sympathy, while chancellor Konrad Adenauer was criticised for not showing enough support for the people of West Berlin. Adenauer had to save the absolute majority of CDU and CSU, but, considering his age and his long term as chancellor, there were big doubts if he should lead the country in a fourth term. Federal elections were held in West Germany on 6 September 1953 to elect the members of the second Bundestag. The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) emerged as the largest party. Villmar
Villmar is a market village and municipality in the Limburg-Weilburg district in Hesse, Germany. The community is the centre for quarrying and processing the so-called Lahn Marble. Geography Location Villmar lies in the Lahn River valley between the Westerwald and the Taunus, some ten kilometres east of Limburg an der Lahn, Limburg. Runkel is a town on the river Lahn in Limburg-Weilburg district in Hesse, Germany.
