In political science, a revolution (Latin: ''revolutio'', "a turn around") is a fundamental and relatively sudden change in political power and political organization which occurs when the population revolts against the government, typically due to perceived oppression (political, social, economic) or political incompetence. Disgust (Middle French: ''desgouster'', from Latin ''gustus'', "taste") is an emotional response of rejection or revulsion to something potentially contagious or something considered offensive, distasteful, or unpleasant. ''Revolt'' is a 2017 American science fiction action film directed by Joe Miale. It was written by Miale and Rowan Athale, starring Lee Pace, Bérénice Marlohe and Jason Flemyng. Plot An American Special Forces soldier, serving in Kenya, suffers Amnesia, memory loss after being knocked unconscious during a battle with highly electrified Bipedalism, bipedal robotic machines. He later wakes up in a jail cell wearing tattered fatigues and unaware of anything but memories of intense pain. He meets Nadia, a French foreign aid military doctor in the adjacent cell who tells him he "sounds American" and they were taken prisoner by a gang of xenophobic thugs. Revolt is an American music-oriented digital cable television network founded by Sean "Diddy" Combs and Andy Schuon that launched on October 21, 2013. History As part of its arrangement to acquire a minority interest in NBCUniversal, Comcast Corporation committed to carry several minority-owned networks. The arrangement followed pressure led by Maxine Waters in congressional hearings. In April 2011, Comcast solicited proposals for minority owned networks. In February 2012, Comcast announced distribution arrangements for four networks, including Revolt. ''Revolting'' is a British sketch/prank TV show starring Heydon Prowse and Jolyon Rubinstein, which aired for five episodes in 2017 on BBC Two. It is a follow-up to '' The Revolution Will Be Televised'', a similar comedy show starring the two, which aired on BBC Three from 2012 to 2015. ''Revolting'' includes characters from the previous show like the fictional Tory MP James Twottington-Burbage, as well as new characters like Duckface, a self-important online activist. ''Revolt'' is the second album from UK rock band 3 Colours Red. It was recorded with producer Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers) and saw the band adopting a more polished and commercial sound. The album reached number 17 on the UK album chart when it was released on Creation Records in 1999, but the band split at their peak after releasing only 2 singles from it, both of which entered the UK top 40. An additional EP, ''Paralyse'', was released prior to the album. Background and recording 3 Colours Red released their debut studio album ''Pure'' in May 1997, which peaked at number 16 on the UK Albums Chart. Four of its five singles reached the top 40 of the UK Singles Chart, with "Sixty Mile Smile" peaking the highest at number 20. ''Revolt'' is the debut album of the American rock band Wild Fire. It was released on May 23, 2017 and was produced, mixed, and mastered by Matt LaPlant, who also sang backing vocals for some of the tracks and worked with the band for their previous works. The album consists of 15 tracks, including "Villain", which was the first single to be released from the album. In total, all the videos containing the song on YouTube have more than three million views. The single peaked at number 82 on the Media Base Rock Charts in the third quarter of 2017. The album's final track is a cover of "The Cover of Rolling Stone", which was written by Shel Silverstein. Some of the songs on the album were written and recorded for previous albums but were included on the album anyway. "Revolt" is a song by the English rock band Muse from their seventh studio album, '' Drones'' (2015). It was released as the third single from the album on 4 November 2015. Song description In his review of the album, Gigwise's Andrew Trendell called the song a "squelchy synth-fuelled call to arms and power ballad for the space-age, somewhere between Bryan Adams, Journey and Eurovision". ''The Revolt'' ( he, המרד), also published as ''Revolt'', ''The Revolt: Inside Story of the Irgun'' and ''The Revolt: the Dramatic Inside Story of the Irgun'', is a book about the militant Zionist organization Irgun Zvai Leumi, by one of its principal leaders, Menachem Begin. In Israel, the organization is commonly called Etzel, based on its Hebrew acronym. ''Re-Volt'' is a racing video game designed by Paul Phippen and Simon Harrison. It was developed by Acclaim Studios London and published by Acclaim Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 64, PlayStation and Dreamcast. The premise of the game involves racing radio-controlled cars around environments like museums, steamships, construction sites and supermarkets. During a race the cars can collect random weapons to use to displace competitors. Cars and tracks were both unlocked through success in the game's tournament modes. Rebellion, uprising, or insurrection is a refusal of obedience or order. It refers to the open resistance against the orders of an established authority.
