Republic Of China Military Police Special Services Company
Republic of China Military Police Special Services Company (MPSSC; ; Code-named: ''Night Hawks'') is a unit of the military police of the Republic of China (Taiwan). This unit is stationed at Wugu, Taipei. Little is known about this unit, since informations regarding it are classified by the Ministry of National Defense. It was formed in 1978. According to the Taipei Times the MPSSC has a standing collaboration with United States Army Special Forces which includes regular joint exercises. They also have a standing invitation to the Pacific Area Special Operations Conference hosted annually by Special Operations Command Pacific. The Munich massacre was a terrorist attack carried out during the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany, by eight members of the Palestinian people, Palestinian militant organization Black September Organization, Black September, who infiltrated the Olympic Village, killed two members of the Israel at the 1972 Summer Olympics, Israeli Olympic team, and took nine others hostage. Thunder Squad () is a special services unit of the National Police Agency in Taiwan, a highly trained SWAT unit established in 1985 to conduct high-risk arrests and other dangerous law enforcement duties. This 200 man group is organized into small four-man elements, three of which make up an operating group. Airborne Special Service Company
The Airborne Special Service Company (ASSC; ), alternatively known as the Liang Shan Special Operations Company (), is an elite special forces unit belonging to the Republic of China Army (Taiwan Army). The ASSC is the most elite unit in Taiwan, they are reportedly based in Taiwan Pingtung County and tasked with carrying out special operations, including decapitation strikes in the event of a war. Amphibious Reconnaissance And Patrol Unit
The Amphibious Reconnaissance and Patrol Unit (ARP) () is an elite special operations component of the Republic of China Marine Corps. Overview ARP members are known as frogmen and have a similar mission set to the United States Navy SEALs. The entire ROC Marine Corps is considered an elite force, and the ARP is the most elite unit within the Marines. The ARP operates both reconnaissance and underwater demolition teams. The Special Task Unit is a special operations unit of the Coast Guard Administration (Taiwan), Coast Guard Administration of Taiwan. Overview The Special Task Unit is an elite special forces, maritime rescue, and counterterrorism unit of the CGA. Operation Entebbe, also known as the Entebbe Raid or Operation Thunderbolt, was a counter-terrorist hostage-rescue mission carried out by commandos of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) at Entebbe Airport in Uganda on 4 July 1976. A week earlier, on 27 June, an Air France Airbus A300 jet airliner with 248 passengers had been hijacked by two members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – External Operations (PFLP-EO) under orders of Wadie Haddad (who had earlier broken away from the PFLP of George Habash), and two members of the German Revolutionary Cells.
