Reprise (film)
''Reprise'' is a 2006 Norwegian comedy-drama film directed by Joachim Trier and co-written, over the course of five years, by Trier and Eskil Vogt. It is Trier's first feature-length film and the first, along with ''Oslo, August 31st'' (2011) and '' The Worst Person in the World'' (2021), in the director's "Oslo Trilogy". The film follows a friend group of Oslovians as they navigate their early 20s, focusing particularly on Erik (Espen Klouman Høiner) and Phillip (Anders Danielsen Lie), who both harbour ambitions of being writers but whose lives take different paths. It was the Norwegian submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2006. Joachim Trier
Joachim Trier () (born 1 March 1974) is a Danish-born Norwegian film director, best known for ''Oslo, August 31st'' (2011), ''Louder Than Bombs'' (2015), ''Thelma'' (2017), and '' The Worst Person in the World'' (2021). For the latter film, he was nominated for the Best Original Screenplay at the 94th Academy Awards, with the film also being nominated for Best International Feature. His films have been described as "melancholy meditations concerned with existential questions of love, ambition, memory, and identity." Early life Trier was born in Denmark to Norwegian parents and raised in Oslo, Norway. Henrik Mestad
Henrik Mestad (born 22 June 1964) is a Norwegian stage, film, and television actor. He received the Hedda Award in 2011. Mestad was born in Oslo as a son of the politician Viking Mestad. He is educated at the Norwegian Theatre Academy and was hired at Nationaltheatret in 1991. As a dramatist, Mestad penned and starred in the plays ''Lik meg når jeg er teit'' (1993) and ''Nansens sønn'' (2002), both of which played at Nationaltheatret. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. Metacritic's scoring converts each review into a percentage, either mathematically from the mark given, or what the site decides subjectively from a qualitative review. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Although the name "Rotten Tomatoes" connects to the practice of audiences throwing rotten tomatoes in disapproval of a poor stage performance, the original inspiration comes from a scene featuring tomatoes in the Canadian film ''Léolo'' (1992). Since January 2010, Rotten Tomatoes has been owned by Flixster, which was in turn acquired by Warner Bros in 2011. Anne Lindmo
Anne Sandvik Lindmo (born 3 April 1970 in Basel, Switzerland) is a Norwegian TV host who is most known for her talk show ''Store studio'' and ''Lindmo'', aired by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). Less notable, Lindmo also hosts her own podcast with co-workers Rune Norum and Halvor Haugen. Lindmo studied at the University of Oslo where she focused on French, sociology and the history of ideas.
