Reidar Kaas
Reidar Kaas (July 27, 1881 – May 18, 1952) was a Norwegian opera singer and actor. Career Kaas was a baritone. He took singing lessons with Raimund von zur-Mühlen in London and the tenor Ernesto Colli (1866–1928) in Milan. Kaas performed at La Scala in Milan, the Carlo Felice Theater in Genoa, and opera houses in Poznań, Hamburg, London, and Oslo. Kaas also appeared in film roles. He made his debut in the silent film '' Paria'' in 1916 as Doctor Berner. In 1932 he played a Gypsy chief in the film ''Fantegutten'', which was his last film role. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. ''Fantegutten'' (The Gypsy) is a Norwegian film from 1932 directed by Leif Sinding. Sinding also wrote the screenplay, which was based on Harald Meltzer's novel of the same name, published posthumously in 1873. Egil Sætren designed the sets. Plot The film opens in a valley on a spring day. A couple is buried in an avalanche, but their son Iver miraculously succeeds in escaping. He is found by the wealthy farmer Sjur Rognved, who lets the boy stay with him. Growing up, Ivar falls in love with the farmer's daughter Ragnhild, who returns his love. One day a group of Gypsies comes to the farm, and a woman in the group, Marja, recognizes Iver as her nephew. Teatro Carlo Felice
The Teatro Carlo Felice is the principal opera house of Genoa, Italy, used for performances of opera, ballet, orchestral music, and recitals. It is located on the side of Piazza De Ferrari. The hall is named for King Carlo Felice, and dates from 24 December 1824, when the Most Excellent Department of Theatres was established. On 31 January 1825, local architect Carlo Barabino submitted his design for the opera house which was to be built on the site of the church of San Domenico. The Dominican friars were moved elsewhere without delay or ceremony, and the first stone of the new building was laid on 19 March 1826. The inaugural performance of Bellini's ''Bianca e Fernando'' took place on 7 April 1828, even though the structure and decoration were not quite finished.
