Rebelle Records AB is a record label founded by Björn Afzelius in 1988. The name is a convergence of his two daughters' names ''Rebecca'' and ''Isabelle''. The company, which holds the rights to all of Afzelius music is now located in Snekkersten, Denmark. Rebell (communist Magazine)
The Revolutionary Communist Youth ( sv, Revolutionär Kommunistisk Ungdom, ''RKU'') is the youth wing of the Swedish Communist Party. It was founded in 1994 as a successor of the Young Communist League of Sweden (marxist-leninists), which existed 1972-1978. RKU publishes a magazine called ''Rebell''. The organization participates at the World Festivals of Youth and Students, arranged by the World Federation of Democratic Youth. Politics The organization believes that capitalist society is not capable of satisfying the needs of the people. RKU believes that there are clear examples of capitalism's failure in Sweden, with high unemployment and worsening education system, while large corporations make billions in profits. RKU believes that the only long-term solution to the problems of capitalism is a violent revolutionary rearrangement of society at large, and the construction of a new socialist society, where production will be organised from people's needs. A record label, or record company, is a brand or trademark of music recordings and music videos, or the company that owns it. Sometimes, a record label is also a publishing company that manages such brands and trademarks, coordinates the production, manufacture, distribution, marketing, promotion, and enforcement of copyright for sound recordings and music videos, while also conducting talent scouting and development of new artists, and maintaining contracts with recording artists and their managers. Björn Afzelius
Björn Svante Afzelius (27 January 1947 – 16 February 1999 ) was a Swedish singer-songwriter and guitar player. He was an outspoken socialist, known for his support for Olof Palme. His songs are about love, politics and joys and sadness in life. Career Björn Svante Afzelius was born on 27 January 1947 in Huskvarna, Jönköping County. His father Svante Arnold Afzelius (1923–1976) was an engineer and his mother Ulla Afzelius (1926–1971) was a housewife. His only sibling is his brother Bengt (b. 1952) who is a music teacher. He came into contact with music from a very young age, because his mother and her side of the family were largely into music. In 1970, Afzelius formed the progg group Hoola Bandoola Band together with Mikael Wiehe. Wiehe and Afzelius became very close friends and worked together long after Hoola Bandoola had dissolved in 1975. Afzelius released his first solo album in 1974, his last one in 1999. Snekkersten
Snekkersten is a former fishing village and current neighbourhood in the southern part of Helsingør, Denmark. Snekkersten station is an interchange between the Coast Line between Copenhagen (to Copenhagen) and the Lille Nord railway to Hillerød. The distance from Copenhagen City Hall Square is approximately 45 km. Today, most of the inhabitants are commuters, either working in Helsingør or Copenhagen. The town is connected by a train line, Kystbanen, to Helsingør to the north, and Copenhagen and other communities in the south. History The name Snekkersten is first recorded in 1582. The first part of the name comes from '' snekkja'' or snekke, a type of longship. The suffix -sten means "boulder", The name Snekkersten also refers to a specific very large boulder on the beach in the northern part of Snekkersten.
