Rebecca De Ruvo
Rebecca Anna de Ruvo (born 6 December 1969 in Stockholm), is a Swedish TV presenter, actress, artist and model who is best known as host of the then new MTV Europe during the early 1990s. De Ruvo became known as the first Swedish VJ on MTV. Career Rebecca De Ruvo started in 1981 as a voice-over artist in the Swedish Christmas series ''Stjärnhuset''. In 1986 she appeared in an episode of the family series ''Julpussar och Stjärnsmällar''. De Ruvo began her television career at age nineteen as a reporter in the youth program ''Druvan'' in 1988, as her mother Annika de Ruvo was a producer for Swedish Television SVT. De Ruvo then started on MTV in 1990 and presented the chart show '' MTV's Braun European Top 20''. In 1991 she hosted '' MTV Prime''. Beginning on 6 April 1992, she led the daily MTV Europe morning show '' Awake on the Wilde Side'' as well as the daily viewers voted charts ''Dial MTV''. Staffan Ling
Staffan Ling (born 8 November 1944) is a Swedish actor and television presenter. Ling moved to Umeå to study humanities at the Umeå University during his early years, and became one of the founders of the local student theatre (Umeå Nya Studentteater) in 1964. He was a producer at Sveriges Radio and SVT in Umeå between 1971 and 1987. Amongst the shows he has presented is the quiz show ''Femettan'' broadcast on SVT, the comedy show ''Parlamentet'' and the game show ''Stadskampen'', both on TV4. Along with actor Bengt Andersson he participated in ''Sant och sånt'' from 1972 to 1987, a show for children featuring simple scientific and technical experiments and explanations of how things work. Oasis were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. Originally known as the Rain, the group initially consisted of Liam Gallagher (lead vocals, tambourine), Paul Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass guitar) and Tony McCarroll (drums). TV3 (''TV tre'') is a Swedish pay television channel owned by Viaplay Group. It was launched on 31 December 1987 by businessman Jan Stenbeck. The channel was initially broadcast across all of Scandinavia. In 1990, separate Danish and Norwegian feeds were launched. The channel's name refers to its launch at a time when television in Sweden was dominated by the two channels of SVT. TV4 (''TV fyra'') is a Swedish free-to-air television network owned by TV4 AB, a subsidiary of the TV4 Media AB. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1990 and, since 1992, on terrestrial television. In 1994, TV4 became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years.
