Raymond Deslandes, called Raimond Deslandes, (12 July 182523 March 1890) was a 19th-century French journalist, playwright and theater manager. He wrote, alone or in collaboration (particularly with Eugène Labiche), numerous comedies. He also directed the Théâtre du Vaudeville. Yvetot
Yvetot () is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France. It is the capital of the Caux region. History The name Yvetot comes from the Germanic ''Yvo'' and the Old Norse ''-topt''. Therefore, Yvetot means 'property of Yvo'. The lords of Yvetot bore the title of king from the 15th until the middle of the 16th century, their petty monarchy being popularized in one of Béranger's songs. In 1592, Henry IV here defeated the troops of the Catholic League. The town's prosperity was linked to strong commerce, developed as early as the 17th century, thanks to its fiscal statutes and to cotton spinning, which saw massive expansion after 1794. In the 19th century, the town developed fabric production. Until 1926, Yvetot had been chef-lieu of the old arrondissement of Yvetot, and a sub-prefecture. Marie-Joseph-Adolphe-Alexandre Langlois, better known as Aylic Langlé (11 October 1827 – 13 January 1870) was a 19th-century French playwright, journalist and official. Biography The son of the playwright Ferdinand Langlé and of Cécila de Milhau, grandson of the composer Honoré Langlé, the writer Marie-Ange-Ferdinand Langlois (? – 1908) and Charles-Édouard Langlois were his brothers. He married Marie-Euphrasine Benoist (died in 1866), with whom he had a daughter, Marie-Georgina (1860-1930) who would become a writer. He died from a stroke aged 42. Honoré Gabriel Riqueti, Comte De Mirabeau
Honoré Gabriel Riqueti, Count of Mirabeau (; 9 March 17492 April 1791) was a leader of the early stages of the French Revolution. A noble, he had been involved in numerous scandals before the start of the Revolution in 1789 that had left his reputation in ruins. Nonetheless, he rose to the top of the French political hierarchy in the years 1789–1791 and acquired the reputation of a voice of the people. A successful orator, he was the leader of the moderate position among revolutionaries by favoring a constitutional monarchy built on the model of Great Britain. When he died (of natural causes), he was a great national hero, even though support for his moderate position was slipping away. Eugène Grangé (16 December 1810 – 1 March 1887) was a French playwright, librettist, chansonnier and goguettier. Biography The son of Pierre-Joseph Basté and Louise-Thérèse Grangé, Pierre-Eugène Basté was born in rue Beautreillis in Paris. He attended the school and the collège Charlemagne. After graduation, he began working in a banking house that he left to start a literary career. At 17, he found himself having comédies en vaudeville played in the small theaters of Boulevard du Temple. He would sign these pieces with his middle name, Eugène and his mother's surname. The Théâtre du Palais-Royal () is a 750-seat Parisian theatre at 38 rue de Montpensier, located at the northwest corner of the Palais-Royal in the Galerie de Montpensier at its intersection with the Galerie de Beaujolais.
