Ray Miller (Ohio Legislator)
Ray Miller is a Democratic politician and a former member of the Ohio General Assembly. Life and career A graduate of the Ohio State University and a former staffer in the Carter Administration, Miller was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1982, succeeding Leslie Brown. He won reelection in 1984, and 1986. In 1988, he won a fourth term, and was named as President of the Legislative Black Caucus. He again won reelection in 1990, and 1992. In 1993, Miller resigned from the House to create a policy nonprofit organization, and was succeeded by Charleta Tavares. However, his retirement was short lived. He again ran for the seat in 1998, and won to succeed Tavares, who had left to take a seat on Columbus City Council. He was reelected in 2000. Ben Espy
Ben E. Espy is a Democratic politician who formerly served in the Ohio Senate. A member of Columbus City Council from 1982 to 1992, Espy went on to obtain an appointment to the Ohio Senate after Senator Richard Pfeiffer resigned in 1992. He won election to fill the remainder of the term in 1992, and to a full term in 1994. By 1994, Espy had been chosen to serve as assistant Senate minority leader, and by 1996, he was minority leader. He won a second term in 1998. In 1999, Espy challenged Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman in the Democratic primary for mayor, but lost. He subsequently resigned his minority leader post, and served the remainder of his term in the Senate as a lame duck. Term limited in 2002, he left office and was replaced by Ray Miller. Teresa Fedor
Teresa Fedor (born May 26, 1956) is an American politician from Ohio. She was a member of the Ohio Senate, representing the 11th district from 2019 until her resignation in 2022. A member of the Ohio General Assembly since 2001, Fedor previously represented the same seat in the Senate from 2003 to 2010, and was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for five nonconsecutive terms, serving from 2001 to 2002, and again from 2011 to 2018. A Democrat, Fedor represented Toledo and the surrounding areas. Life and career Fedor holds a bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Toledo. Charleta B. Tavares is a former member of the Ohio Senate. She represented the 15th District from 2011 to 2018.
