Raul Botelho
Raul Botelho (born 22 July 1957) is a Brazilian Lieutenant-Brigadier of the Brazilian Air Force, who has served as Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of the Brazilian Armed Forces since 2019. Military career Joined the Air Force in 1973, being declared Aspirant in 1979. He was promoted to Brigadier in March 2007 and to Lieutenant-Brigadier in March 2015. An aerial reconnaissance and search and rescue pilot, Botelho holds a Bachelor of Business Administration for the Mackenzie Presbyterian University and executive MBA in Administrative Management. He has 3,600 flight hours and flown various planes in the air force, such as the Aerotec Uirapuru, the Neiva Universal, the Embraer EMB 110 Bandeirante, the Lockheed C-130 Hercules, and the Embraer EMB 312 Tucano. Brigadier
Brigadier is a military rank, the seniority of which depends on the country. In some countries, it is a senior rank above colonel, equivalent to a brigadier general or commodore, typically commanding a brigade of several thousand soldiers. The Embraer EMB 312 Tucano (English: ''Toucan'') is a low-wing, tandem-seat, single-turboprop, basic trainer with counter-insurgency capability that was developed in Brazil. The Brazilian Air Force sponsored the EMB-312 project at the end of 1978. Neiva Universal
The Neiva N621 Universal is a Brazilian propeller-driven basic trainer and ground attack aircraft manufactured by Indústria Aeronáutica Neiva. It is a cantilever, low-wing monoplane of all-metal construction, with retractable undercarriage and side-by-side seating. Design and development The Universal was designed in 1963 as a new primary trainer for the Brazilian Air Force, as a replacement for the T-6 Texan and Fokker S-11/S-12 types then in use. Aerotec Uirapuru
The Aerotec A-122 Uirapuru was a Brazilian military trainer aircraft. It was a low-wing monoplane with tricycle undercarriage that accommodated the pilot and instructor side-by-side. It first flew on 2 June 1965. Design and development In October 1967, the Brazilian Air Force ordered 30 aircraft to replace the obsolete Fokker S.11s and S.12s (T-21s and T-22s) that were operating in the Air Force Academy. Later, they ordered another 40, and then 30 more. These were designated T-23. The Bolivian Air Force ordered 36 examples in 1974, which flew until 1997, and in 1975 the Paraguayan Air Force bought eight aircraft to replace the Fokker T-21 (S.11).
