Rashmin Manharbhai Chhaya (born 12 January 1961) is an Indian Judge. Presently, he is Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court. He is former Judge of Gujarat High Court. He has also served as Acting Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court. Career He was born on 12 January 1961 at Veraval, Gujarat. He did Law at L.A. Shah Law College. He was enrolled as an Advocate in year 1984 with Bar Council of Gujarat. He has served as empaneled Advocate for various Municipal corporations, in Gujarat. He was appointed a Counsel for the Department of Income Tax in year 2001 for a period of two years. He was also appointed Additional Central Government Counsel in year 2004 and Senior Counsel for Union of India in year 2008. He has also appeared in various Constitutional Matters. Gauhati High Court
The Gauhati High Court was promulgated by governor general of India on 1 March 1948 after the '' Government of India Act 1935'' was passed. Establishing the High Court of Assam with effect from 5 April 1948, for the then Province of Assam. It was originally known as the High Court of Assam and Nagaland, but renamed as Gauhati High Court in 1971 by the ''North-Eastern Areas (Reorganisation) Act, 1971''. Ram Nath Kovind
Ram Nath Kovind (; born 1 October 1945) is an Indian politician who served as the 14th President of India from 2017 to 2022. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the second person after K. R. Narayanan, from the Dalit community to occupy the post. Prior to his presidency, he served as the 26th Governor of Bihar from 2015 to 2017 and as a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2006. The Gujarat High Court is the High Court of the state of Gujarat. It was established on 1 May 1960 under the ''Bombay Re-organisation Act, 1960'' after the state of Gujarat split from Bombay State. Veraval also known as Somnath is a municipality and the headquarters of Gir Somnath district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is also known for the hub of fishing industries in India.
