Jind District
Jind district is one of the 22 districts of Haryana state in northern India. Jind town is the administrative headquarters of the district. It is part of Hisar Division and was created in 1966. During the Sikh Empire, Jind lies in the heart of Haryana and is the fourth district of the Jat belt along with Sonipat, Rohtak and Hissar. Etymology The district derives its name from its headquarters town Jind that is said to be derived from ''Jaintapuri''. It is also said that this town had been founded at the time of the Mahabharata. Jind is one of the largest and oldest city in Jind district in the Indian state of Haryana. It is administrative headquarter of Jind district. Rani Talab is the main destination for tourists while Pandu-Pindara and Ramrai are the main religious spots, attracting devotees for the holy bath during '' Amavasya''. The fort of Jind was built by Sidhu Jat ruler Maharaja Gajpat Singh in 1776 AD. Chaudhary Dal Singh (1915–1991) popularly known as Khunda Jhota and Paani ka Baadal was first Irrigation and Power Minister of Haryana, he was involved in Haryana politics from 1952 to 1977, when he took unofficial retirement due to his bad health. in 1966. Hansi
Hansi, is a city and municipal council in Hisar district in the Indian state of Haryana. It appears that at one time Hansi was larger, more prosperous and more important than Hisar. The town has several important buildings of archeological importance. In 2016, the Haryana government put forward a proposal to carve the new Hansi district out of the Hisar district. History It is believed that Hansi was founded by King Anangpal Vihangpal Tomar for his guru "''Hansakar''" (957 AD). Parminder Singh Dhull
Parminder Singh Dhull (born 4 March 1957) is an Indian politician of the State of Haryana, India. He remained as Member of Legislative Assembly of Haryana from Julana constituency of Jind District till he resigned as such on 25 June 2019. He contested on Bhartiya Janta Party ticket in 2019 Haryana Assembly Elections but failed to retain his seat. He resigned from Bhartiya Janta Party on 20 October 2020 in protest of the Farmers Bills introduced by Government of India. His father Chaudhary Dal Singh was a former minister and a freedom fighter. The Haryana Legislative Assembly or the Haryana Vidhan Sabha is the unicameral state legislature of Haryana state in India. The seat of the Vidhan Sabha is at Chandigarh, the capital of the state.
