Ramona Strugariu
Ramona Strugariu (born 6 August 1979) is a Romanian politician of REPER and previous member of USR PLUS/USR who has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament since 2019. Political career In parliament, Strugariu has been serving on the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs. In addition to her committee assignments, Strugariu is part of the parliament's delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. She is also a member of the European Parliament Intergroup on Anti-Corruption; the European Parliament Intergroup on LGBT Rights; and the MEPs Against Cancer group. Renewing Romania's European Project ( ro, Reînnoim Proiectul European al României, REPER) is a social liberal and pro-European political party in Romania. It is a splinter of the Save Romania Union (USR) currently led by Dragoș Pîslaru and Ramona Strugariu as acting co-presidents, founded in May 2022, in opposition to USR's current leadership under Cătălin Drulă. The party is mostly associated with former technocratic Prime Minister and former USR president Dacian Cioloș, who became the party's leader. Immigration Detention In The United Kingdom
Immigration detention in the United Kingdom is the practice of detaining foreign nationals for the purpose of immigration control. Unlike some other countries, UK provisions to detain are not outlined in a codified constitution. Instead, immigration enforcement holds individuals under Powers granted in the Immigration Act 1971 and by the Home Office Detention Centre Rules (2001). The expressed purpose of immigration detention is to "effect removal; initially to establish a person's identity or basis of claim; or mplementwhere there is reason to believe that the person will fail to comply with any conditions attached to a grant of immigration bail."
