Ramon Tremosa
Ramon Tremosa i Balcells (Barcelona, 30 June 1965) is a Catalan economist and politician, professor at the Department of Economic Theory at the University of Barcelona, where he obtained his Doctorate about the influence of macroeconomic policy in the Catalan manufacturing industry (1983 - 1995). From 2009 onwards he has been independent MEP for Convergència i Unió and has been re-elected in 2014. He is author of various books and academic articles about monetary politics, fiscal federalism and regional economics. Early life and education Ramon Tremosa was born in Barcelona on the 30th of June in a family originally from Lleida (his father is from Arenys de Noguera, Ribagorça and his Mother from el Poal, Pla d´Urgell). The 2009 European Parliament election in Spain was held on Sunday, 7 June 2009, as part of the EU-wide election to elect the 7th European Parliament. All 50 seats allocated to Spain as per the Treaty of Nice—54 after the Treaty of Lisbon came into force on 1 December 2011—were up for election. The Panama Papers ( es, Papeles de Panamá) are 11.5 million leaked documents (or 2.6 terabytes of data) that were published beginning on April 3, 2016. The papers detail financial and attorney–client information for more than 214,488 offshore entities. The documents, some dating back to the 1970s, were created by, and taken from, former Panamanian offshore law firm and corporate service provider Mossack Fonseca. The documents contain personal financial information about wealthy individuals and public officials that had previously been kept private. The Single European Railway Directive 2012''2012/34/EUis an EU Directive that regulates railway networks in European Union law.
