Ralitsa Tcholakova
Ralitsa Tcholakova is a Canadian violinist with Bulgarian roots. Early life Tcholakova obtained a Master's degree from the State Academy of Music in Bulgaria, and a Diploma from the Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna. She has been a Long Term Artist in Residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts. During her residency at The Banff Centre, Tcholakova was involved in more than 25 concerts, including Chamber Music performances with Lawrence Lesser and Gilbert Kelish. Career Tcholakova has an international solo career, and has performed as a soloist with orchestras and at chamber music series and festivals in Albania, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, Macedonia, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, USA, Paraguay and Uruguay. Violin
The violin, sometimes known as a ''fiddle'', is a wooden chordophone (string instrument) in the violin family. Most violins have a hollow wooden body. Elaine Keillor
Frances Elaine Keillor C.M. (born 2 September 1939) is a Canadian musicologist and pianist. She has been a professor of music at Carleton University since 1977, specializing in the music of Canadian composers and the music of North American indigenous groups. Early life and education Elaine Keillor was born in London, Ontario in 1939. Her first piano teacher was her mother, Lenore Stevens Keillor, although Keillor has said of her mother, "She said that she could not actually recall teaching me to play the piano as I would just go to the instrument and play what she had been teaching the last student." Elaine also took lessons with Reginald Bedford, and later with Claudio Arrau and Harold Craxton.
