Rakep Patel
Rakep Patel (born 12 July 1989) was a Kenyan international cricketer. A product of the Nairobi Gymkhana Club, he was a Wicket-Keeper–Batsman who played right-handed, but also occasionally bowled off spin. Career He made his lone performance for the Kenya Select team in their inaugural season, and found himself called up to the national squad for their tour of Europe, including a tour of the Netherlands and the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier. He has the joint record along with Dawid Malan for scoring the highest ever T20 score when batting at number 6 position (103). In January 2018, he was named as captain of Kenya's squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament. However, Kenya finished in sixth and last place in the tournament and were relegated to Division Three. As a result, Patel resigned as captain of the Kenyan team. Nairobi ( ) is the capital and largest city of Kenya. 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three
The 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three was an international cricket tournament that took place in Oman between 9 and 19 November 2018. It formed part of the 2017–19 cycle of the World Cricket League (WCL) which determines the qualification for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The top two teams were promoted to the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament, and the other four teams will play in the 2019–21 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League. It was the first international cricket tournament to be held in Oman. Tournament hosts Oman were the first team to be promoted to Division Two for 2019, after winning their opening four matches. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier was a cricket tournament that was played as part of qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, during October and November 2021. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Regional Qualifiers will be played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). 2019 Oman Cricket World Cup Challenge League B
The 2019 Oman Cricket World Cup Challenge League B was the inaugural edition of Group B of the 2019–2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League, a cricket tournament which formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. It took place in Oman, with all the matches having List A status. Initially, it was scheduled to take place between 25 November and 10 December 2019 in Hong Kong. However, citing the instability in Hong Kong, the first round of matches in League B were moved to Oman. Uganda won the series, after they won all five of their matches.
