''Raja Nanna Raja'' () is a 1976 Kannada-language romantic thriller film, written by Salim–Javed, and the screenplay was created by Chi. Udaya Shankar. The film was directed by A. V. Sheshagiri Rao, and produced by A. L. Abbaiah Naidu. The film starred Rajkumar, Aarathi and Chandrashekhar. The songs composed by G. K. Venkatesh were received extremely well and considered as evergreen hits. The film deals with reincarnation as the main subject, with the lead actors romancing in both the incarnations. The film was a huge success at the box-office after its release. In an episode in '' Weekend with Ramesh'' , S. P. Balasubrahmanyam had revealed that Ilaiyaraaja was working under G. K. Venkatesh as a guitar player for this movie. This movie popularized the role of the suave antihero in Kannada films. The film was released on 27 May 1976. It had a theatrical run of 25 weeks. Salim–Javed were an Indian screenwriting duo, composed of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, working in Bollywood. They are noted for being the first Indian screenwriters to achieve star status, becoming the most successful Indian screenwriters of all time. Kashinatha Hathwara (8 May 1951 – 18 January 2018) was an Indian actor and filmmaker who primarily worked in Kannada films. He worked on Hindi and Malayalam movies. With a career spanning over three decades, Kashinath worked in over 40 films carving a niche for himself in comedy genre. He is credited for introducing new talents such as actor Upendra, musician V. Thoogudeepa Srinivas
Mysore Srinivas (17 April 1943 – 16 October 1995), known by his stage name Thoogudeepa Srinivas was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada films and is remembered for his portrayal of negative-shaded characters. He is the father of actor, Darshan and film director Dinakar. Early life Srinivas was born to Muniswami and Parvathamma in 1943 as their fourth son. He had eight siblings. He lost his parents at a young age. Right from his childhood days, Srinivas was interested in theatre and cinema and was a regular participant in his school and college plays. Aarathi
Aarathi (born 1954) is an Indian actress who mainly acted in Kannada cinema, Kannada films during the 1970s and 1980s. She has won the Filmfare Awards South, Filmfare awards South and the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress four times each.
