Raj Kaur (archer)
Raj Kaur is an Indian professional archer. She won the bronze medal in the women's compound division at the 2019 World Archery Championships held from 10 June to 16 June in 2019 at 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. The Indian women's compound team of Muskan Kirar, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, and Raj Kaur defeated Turkey by 229-226. She has also participated in Asian Games. Early life Raj Kaur lives in Amritsar, Punjab. She left Border Security Force and presently working as police constable in Punjab police. World Archery Championships
The World Archery Championships are a series of competitions in Archery organised by the World Archery Federation (WA). The first competition held under that title took place in 1931. Competition archery takes a wide variety of formats, but the title World Championships is commonly reserved for the following three events: # Outdoor World Championships in target Archery # Indoor World Championships in target Archery # World Championships in field Archery. Muskan Kirar (born 2001) is an Indian archer. She won the gold medal in the women's compound final event at the Archery Asia Cup, stage-1 competition in Bangkok on 7 March 2018. She beat Malaysian archeSazatul Nadhirah Zakaria by 139-136. Muskan was trained by Richpal Singh Salaria at the Madhya Pradesh Archery Academy in Bhopal. Early life Muskan was raised in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She is the daughter of Mala Kirar, a homemaker, and Virendra Kirar, who is a business man. Career Archery Asia Cup Kirar’s first match of the tournament saw her amass 142 points against an opponent from Taipei, before winning her next match with a score of 145 points. She won her quarter-final match against an Indonesian opponent, scoring 147 points, before beating a Malaysian competitor in the semi-finals with a score of 148. Jyothi Surekha Vennam
Jyothi Surekha Vennam is an Indian compound archer. She has won multiple gold medals in the compound archery event at the Archery World Cup, World Archery Championships and Asian Games. In 2023, she became the first Indian archer to win a gold medal at the World Archery Championships and multiple gold medals at the Asian Games. She was awarded the Arjuna award, India's second highest sporting honor in 2017 becoming the youngest from South India to win the award. Early life Jyothi was born on 3 July 1996 in Challapalli in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh to Vennam Surendra Kumar and Sri Durga. Border Security Force
The Border Security Force (BSF) is India's border guarding organisation on its border with Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) of India, and was raised in the wake of the 1965 war on 1 December 1965, "for ensuring the security of the borders of India and for matters connected there with".
