Raj Kapoor Filmography
Raj Kapoor (born Shrishti Nath Kapoor; 14 December 1924 2 June 1988) was an Indian actor, film director and film producer who worked in Bollywood films. He was fondly called "Raj Sahab", "The Showman", "The Greatest Show Man of Indian cinema", "Ranbir Raj Kapoor", and "Charlie Chaplin of Indian cinema" by his family, friends and fans. Kapoor worked in many films, and his filmography is listed below. Gopinath (film)
Gopinath is a 1948 Bollywood film, written, produced and directed by Mahesh Kaul. It starred Raj Kapoor, Tripti Mitra, Latika, Mahesh Kaul and Baby Zubeida. The music was composed by Ninu Muzumdar, with lyrics by Surdas, Meerabai and Ram Moorti. Plot The story is about Mohan (Raj Kapoor), who wants to write stories for films. His mother (Anwaribai), a heart patient, would like to see him married to Gopi (Tripti Mitra), a friend's daughter staying with them. Gopi has come from the village to Bombay with her brother, who's going to Africa for a job. On Mohan's mother's request and at Gopi's insistence, the brother departs without her. The Palme d'Or (; en, Golden Palm) is the highest prize awarded at the Cannes Film Festival. It was introduced in 1955 by the festival's organizing committee. Previously, from 1939 to 1954, the festival's highest prize was the Grand Prix du Festival International du Film. ''Bawre Nain'' ("Impassioned Eyes") is a 1950 Indian Hindi-language romance film directed by Kidar Nath Sharma. It was produced under the Ambitious Pictures banner at Shree Sound Studios. For the music, Sharma persisted with music director Roshan, in spite of several demands from film distributors to have him removed following his failure as a composer in an earlier film, '' Neki Aur Badi'' (1949).
