Ragnvald Roscher Nielsen
Ragnvald Roscher Nielsen (21 December 1891 – 8 January 1979) was a Norwegian military officer, born in Fredrikshald. He served at the general staff from 1915 to 1930 and from 1938 to 1940. He was given the task to negotiate with the Germans on the armistice in 1940. From 1942 to 1945 he was a prisoner-of-war in German custody. Halden
Halden (), between 1665 and 1928 known as Fredrikshald, is both a town and a municipality in Viken county, Norway. The municipality borders Sarpsborg to the northwest, Rakkestad to the north and Aremark to the east, as well as the Swedish municipalities Strömstad, Tanum and Dals-Ed respectively to the southwest, south and southeast. Bergenhus Fortress
Bergenhus fortress ( no, Bergenhus festning) is a fortress located in Bergen, Norway. Located at the entrance of Bergen harbour, the castle is one of the oldest and best preserved stone fortifications in Norway. The Norwegian Army Command Germany ( no, Tysklandskommandoen) was in charge of the Norwegian contribution to the occupation of the British Zone in Germany, which with the creation of NATO also become a defence force. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works.
