Ragnhild Hald
Ragnhild Fjermeros Hald (November 9, 1896 – July 17, 1975) was a Norwegian actress. After attending high school from 1910 to 1913, she studied under Inga Jacobi. She was then engaged with the Norwegian Theater from 1919 to 1952, as well as the National Theater from 1930 to 1933, and finally with the People's Theater from 1952 onward. She was married to the actor Nils Hald from 1922 to 1938, and then to the visual artist Rolf Nesch from 1950 to 1975. Nils Hald
Nils Mauritz Hald (October 12, 1897 – July 14, 1963) was a Norwegian actor. Hald was born in Kristiansand, Norway, the son of the bookbinder Johan Christian Thor Hald (1865–1902) and Karen Marie Gundersen (1864–1944). He was married to the actress Ragnhild Hald from 1922 to 1938. Hald made his film debut in Rasmus Breistein's 1921 film ''Felix''. A year later he appeared in '' Farende folk'', but then did not appear in any further films until 1936. He then appeared in a number of other roles until 1961. Hald was also engaged with the Norwegian Theater in the 1940s and 1950s. Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The film is based on five stories by Hans Aanrud and the action is set in rural Norway. ''Vi vil leve'' (We Want to Live) is a Norwegian film from 1946 directed by Olav Dalgard and Rolf Randall. The film deals with the German occupation of Norway. The film studies professor Gunnar Iversen characterizes it as "an uneven and choppy film that is marred by melodramatization that undermines authentic material." Dalgard and Randal wrote the manuscript while confined at the Grini detention camp and had it smuggled out before being sent to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. Plot It is April 9, 1940 and an airplane takes flight to warn Norwegian merchant vessels that German naval forces are on their way toward Norwegian waters. The pilot signals to a Norwegian-flagged ship that responds by firing at the aircraft. The pilot is injured but manages to land on the water. ''Gullfjellet'' (Gold Mountain) is a Norwegian film from 1941 based on ''Guldfjeldet'', a comedy by Ove Ansteinsson about farmers tempted to invest all their money in a gold bonanza. The film was directed by Rasmus Breistein and Titus Vibe-Müller. Plot The city boy Rolf Rønne arrives at Benningstad, a large farm in Hedemark, and gets to work. He meets Jørgen Krullerstugun and lies that he has found gold at Kråkberget, which is on Hans Benningstad's property. Jørgen makes his own investigations at Kråkberget and finds mica and mistakes it for gold. At night, he brings home large quantities of the stone and fills his living room and bedrooms. As rumors spread, purchasing bids start pouring in. The landowner does not want to sell, but he gives up when the gold find is announced in the newspapers.
