Gullfjellet (film)
''Gullfjellet'' (Gold Mountain) is a Norwegian film from 1941 based on ''Guldfjeldet'', a comedy by Ove Ansteinsson about farmers tempted to invest all their money in a gold bonanza. The film was directed by Rasmus Breistein and Titus Vibe-Müller. Plot The city boy Rolf Rønne arrives at Benningstad, a large farm in Hedemark, and gets to work. He meets Jørgen Krullerstugun and lies that he has found gold at Kråkberget, which is on Hans Benningstad's property. Jørgen makes his own investigations at Kråkberget and finds mica and mistakes it for gold. At night, he brings home large quantities of the stone and fills his living room and bedrooms. As rumors spread, purchasing bids start pouring in. The landowner does not want to sell, but he gives up when the gold find is announced in the newspapers. Rasmus Breistein

Life Breistein was born in Åsane in the city of Bergen in Hordaland county, Norway. He was a farmer's son and learned to play fiddle in his youth, playing for dances at weddings in Western Norway. Later in life, in addition to directing films, he also performed on the Hardanger fiddle. When the Norwegian Theater opened in 1913, he started acting at the theater. He became engaged with the new medium of film after seeing Peter Lykke-Seest's productions, and he decided to produce films in a completely different way. His first film was '' Fante-Anne'' (Gypsy Anne, 1920). In an interview he stated that "the film was the beginning of something, a Norwegian production with a more national character." Thorleif Reiss
Thorleif Dymling Reiss (May 22, 1898 – April 14, 1988) was a Norwegian actor. Career Reiss made his debut at the National Theater in Oslo in 1918. From 1931 to 1939, he was employed at the Carl Johan Theater, where he also served as co-director. From 1942 onward he was employed at the New Theater. Family Reiss was the son of the lawyer, composer, and musicologist Georg Reiss and Elisabeth Dymling (1861–1920). He was the brother of the pianist and cabaret performer Elisabeth Reiss and the father of the actor Helge Reiss. He played opposite his son in the 1970 crime comedy ''Skulle det dukke opp flere lik er det bare å ringe''. His first marriage was in 1920 to Esther Colbjørnsen Dahl (1896–1941). Sigurd Magnussøn
Sigurd Konrad Magnussøn (December 14, 1889 – November 12, 1961) was a Norwegian theater director and actor. On August 14, 1912 he married the actress Abigael Heber. Magnussøn was a student at the Fahlstrøm Theater from 1906 to 1907. From 1908 to 1911 and from 1912 to 1920 he was an actor at the National Theater in Oslo. Then he was at the National Theater in Bergen from 1921 to 1922. In 1921 and 1922 he also directed the experimental Intimteatret theater, where Agnes Mowinckel debuted as a stage director and Olafr Havrevold debuted as an actor. From 1922 to 1931 he was engaged at Chat Noir, the Trondheim National Theater, the Casino Theater in Oslo, and the Oslo New Theater. From 1931 to 1935 he was at the Norwegian Theater. Leif Juster
Leif Juster (born Leif Normann Nilsen) (14 February 1910 – 25 November 1995) was a Norwegian comedian, singer and actor, arguably the most popular of his generation in Norway. Juster started out as a variety show performer, and for a period he ran the theater ''Edderkoppen''. Jens Holstad
Jens Holstad (January 30, 1889 – October 6, 1961) was a Norwegian actor. Holstad was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), and he made his stage debut in 1906 at the Fahlstrøm Theater. He made his film debut in 1912 in Adam Eriksen's film '' Anny – en gatepiges roman''. He was most active in the 1930s and 1940s, and he appeared in a total of twelve film roles, with his last in ''Ti gutter og en gjente'' in 1944. Alongside films, Holstad was also active in theater, where he was involved with the New Theater from the 1920s to the 1950s. He also performed at the National Theater in Oslo. Erling Georg Stefan Hanson (May 1, 1888 – August 16, 1978) was a Norwegian stage and film actor. Life Erling Hanson was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway, the son of the physician Alfred Hanson (1844–1819) and Emmy Amalie Hanson (née Jørgensen, 1864–1944). He died in Oslo in 1978. Career Hanson made his stage debut at the National Theater in Bergen in 1908 in Alf Harbitz's play ''Rakels hjem''. He then performed in Ludovica Levy's touring theater. Leif Omdahl Enger (September 5, 1900 – November 11, 1977) was a Norwegian actor. Enger was born in Christiania (now Oslo). He appeared in a series of roles for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation's radio theater. He was also a popular film actor, appearing in over 20 films. Among the best-known films he appeared in are '' Operasjon Løvsprett'', ''Hunger'' ( no, Sult), and ''Englandsfarere''. Enger died in Oslo and is buried in Oslo's West Cemetery. Sigurd Eldegard (10 July 1866 – 30 January 1950) was a Norwegian actor, playwright and theatre director. He was born in Årdal to farmers Sjur Ingebrigtsen Eldegard and Johanne Jørgensdatter Vetti. He made his stage debut at Christiania Theater in 1891, where he continued acting for six years. He then played two years at Fahlstrøms teater and then at Sekondteatret. From 1901 to 1931 he was engaged at the Nationaltheatret, except for two years with Det Norske Teatret. He served as theatre director at Det Norske Teatret from 1918 to 1920.
