Radin Inten II International Airport ( id, Bandar Udara Internasional Radin Inten II) (, formerly WICT) is an airport that serves the city of Bandar Lampung in Lampung, Indonesia. The name is taken from Radin Inten II (1834–1858), the last Sultan of Lampung (possibly a vassal of the Banten Sultanate). It is on the Jalan Branti Raya in Branti, Natar, northwest of Bandar Lampung in the South Lampung regency. The airport serves the Lampung area, as it is currently the only commercial airport in the Lampung province. It is named after Laksamana Hang Nadim Pahlawan Kechik, a legendary warrior from the region. The Fokker F28 Fellowship is a twin-engined, short-range jet airliner designed and built by Dutch aircraft manufacturer Fokker. Following the Fokker F27 Friendship, an early and commercially successful turboprop-powered regional airliner, Fokker decided to embark on developing a new turbojet-powered commuter aircraft that would build upon its experiences with the F27.
